I am so thankful! I am 9 months pregnant and due any day. I wanted to get my hair done to feel beautiful before delivering. They not only graciously provided an appointment same day (essentially a walk-in, something most business cannot accommodate) but the environment and experience was fantastic! Love the conversation I had with Michael and his wife is an absolute gem! You leave here feeling at ease and feeling fantastic! I definitely recommend come checking out this one of a kind business that is built on professionalism and quality in the services  they provide.

Not a safe space. I requested that Michael wear a mask and he refused and said he would not and that based on that it was my choice to stay or not, so I left. No one else, clients or staff, wear masks. They tout their environmental cleanliness in their products but won't take measures to protect clients, even upon request. He claimed that his family members recovering from Covid are having to do so because of their diet. I wish these kind of sentiments were shared on their webpage or social media to save people like myself the hassle of driving across town. Hopefully this review will save you the trip.

BE AWARE & BEWARE
I was a client of Michael's from 2014-2021. Be aware he gives a good cut and color application. However, be aware you may also be on the receiving end of verbal abuse, screaming, and psycho-analysis by the co-owner. Without delving into the tedious details of an innocuous attempt to verify an appointment, that was my experience. I have been a teacher for more than 40 years, so I am well versed in the skill of communication and thought I had heard it all - but never this. Obviously, I am a senior citizen and in all my life experiences I have NEVER been admonished and spoken to in this manner by an owner of ANY type of business. So, BEWARE. You don't need the possibility of this negative energy being injected into your life experience - whether you're 71 or 21. Find another salon.

I decided to switch stylists recently after my prior stylist made several mistakes coloring and cutting my hair over an eight-month period.

Because traditional permanent color makes my scalp itch and burn, I looked into O&M color (it doesn't use ammonia or PPDs) and thought it might be a better choice. I was previously using Schwartzkoph's demi color line. I found Bearde' Salon online, read the reviews, and looked into several of the stylists' backgrounds. I chose Michael Bearde, the salon owner, because he is Vidal Sasson trained and his salon is dedicated to using organic hair care products.

Michael initially booked a consultation and we discussed pricing during this appointment. He allowed me to test the product on my skin to make sure I would not have a reaction to their permanent color line.

I have been extremely happy each time Michael colors, cuts, and styles my hair. I have never been so happy with a stylist before. The pricing is considerably more than I have paid in the past, but Michael is worth every penny. And, the salon smells amazing.

Also, Michael's Dracena line of hair care is the first product that doesn't make my scalp itch and the products smell wonderful. I have avoided most styling products for years for this reason.

I love this salon! The atmosphere is always welcoming and I love the fact that all their products are (animal) cruel free. Megan has a great  personality and helps me to look my best each and every time. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
