Five stars to Essa salon and staff . On my first visit I exactly what I requested . Even without a picture Bobby nailed it ..Great color texture and wonderful results . Bobby did my single process with a glaze . My once dried out fried out texture turned into a rich chocolate brown with wonderful dimension and shine .The salon is very chill and everyone is warm and friendly . So happy I came here and tried it out . No more searching . Thank you !

Totally turned off. I had written a very nice review of this place on Google. At the time, i wasn't using Yelp to write reviews. It's now 3 months later, and I come to see that someone named " Allison H", has written the EXACT same review, I mean exact, word for word, from the review that I wrote on Google. Now I can still say that the service that I received here was great, but it's a complete turn off to see that they are so desperate that they created a profile with someone with a similar name to me just to post my review here on Yelp, one that I had previously posted to google. GROSS. The review is under the non-recommended review under Allison H. Check it out. Then google salon ESSA and check out my original review I posted back in December. Turned off!!

Since I've lived in this area I've tried a few salons, none of which could ever get my hair the way I like it. I came into Essa with ridiculous split ends, damaged hair, and root regrowth that was begging to be fixed. I essentially told Jarrett that I loved my hair long, but understood that some needed to be cut to fix it. I put my faith in him, considering I was already miserable with my hair, and I was not disappointed in the slightest! He was able to leave most of my length and give me the best haircut I've ever had. He gave me a cut that complimented my face shape and showcased my thick, long locks. I have never left a salon so happy. Gregory did my root touch up, and I was incredible impressed with his ability to match my roots to the color on the rest of my hair. I've been bleaching my own hair for a long time because every stylist has made it yellow, instead of the pale blonde I prefer. Gregory didn't even have to use a toner, THAT is how well matched up the color was. He also was very understanding about my sensitive scalp and used products that hurt much less than other salons. The treatment was almost painless. These two honestly saved me a ton of pain, and made me want to stop throwing my hair in a messy bun and actually show it off. If your hair is as important to you as mine is to me, I highly recommend this salon. With tip included, I only paid 30 dollars more than what I would at another salon. Small price to pay for finally feeling good about my hair!

There's no other way to describe this salon than my absolute knight in shining armour!!! After receiving what can only be described as a train wreck of a haircut from a different salon earlier that day, I called ESSA salon in the midst of tears in hopes that they could fix the disaster. Baring in mind, this was at 6pm on a FRIDAY night, and the salon closed at 8pm. Luckily, the gentleman on the phone (I'm so sorry I forgot your name but you described yourself as the bald guy :)!), told me to get there as soon as I could and they would see what I could do. So I went over. The staff are actually very accommodating and not intimidating in any way! They could see I was upset and offered me tea etc and tried to keep me calm. I then waited for one of their hair stylists to become free, as they were squeezing me in. Thank god for me, Veronica became free and she was so lovely and took a good look at my hair and said how we could fix it. She knew what would work and how to still give me a cute haircut, even if it wasn't what I had anticipated in the first place. Veronica, you did such an amazing job! I can't even imagine my hair looking like it did before I came in. You are an angel. And my hair has never felt more fresh and bouncy. You said you wanted movement in it and I can feel that. Thank you so much for fitting me in on your Friday evening! I 100% recommend this place for any haircut, (and also a Brazilian wax as their wax lady is also so lovely and accommodating). The whole salon is completely professional with a nice atmosphere and welcoming staff. I believe they are under new management since previous reviews, so definitely check it out. They saved me from an emotional wreck to one happy girlie.

I was overly pleased with every aspect of my salon experience that I had here. The staff is super friendly. I came here for my color and cut. Gregory was my colorist and he did an amazing job with my color. The picture I showed him, he matched my hair to it. I will definitely be back!
