I have been a customer of Bea at this salon for 30 years and she is fantastic. Beautiful, precise hair cuts and she's a wizard with hair coloring and styling. She's also one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Customers come to her from all over the city and even Orange County! Tell her Shirley sent you!
Faye Katsman is amazing. I've been coming to her for the past two years for the cut and color. She is an expert on both! She picked just the shade I wanted (brown with a hint of burgundy), so I ended up with a lot of compliments. If you ask her to cut off your hair just a little, she will do just that. She is very careful to follow your instructions. She used to be a hair stylist for Jane Fonda and it shows! Great personality as well. I highly recommend her :)
Mimi Choi recently started working at this wonderful hair salon. I truly believe that Mimi is a gifted artist and her work on my hair is truly amazing. I constantly receive compliments on my hair style. I have difficult, thick, straight hair which is hard to style, but with Mimi's amazing cut and color --- to put it bluntly --- my haircut gives me a beautiful look and I receive positive attention. The staff at Azalia are helpful, courtesy and extremely professional. From the first minute you enter the shop, you feel totally at ease. Unlike other shops, every hair stylist is a top professional. I would highly recommend booking an appointment with Mimi as soon as possible. She is the best hair stylist I've ever been with. Earlier in my career, I was a profesisonal fashion model, and I also modeled for hair stylists. I did travel the world modeling. From my vast experience, I do know a true artist, when I see one.
There are no paper towels to wipe your hands, no toilet covers, and the toilet paper is locked. Need I say more.
Recently Karin Maihart moved from another salon to Azalia. I am a big, huge fan of Karin's so naturally I made the move with her. Karin is the best with hair. I can only speak on men's cuts because that is what I get...but she is ALWAYS doing coloring before my appointments and after...she has a very loyal following! It also does not hurt that Karin is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.
