I stopped in on a Tuesday for an overdue gel french manicure. I was immediately greeted by a gentleman who upon telling him what I wanted he asked if I was sure twice. I thought this was weird, but that he was trying to maybe be funny? So I went with it. He immediately sat me down and began to do the typical routine of removing the previous gel I already had. He used the rotary sanding machine which I don't care for because it feels harsh on my nails and gets hot and uncomfortable, but this isn't my usual place and I'm not confrontational so I just suffered through it in silence lol. He didn't wait long enough after wrapping my nails in aluminum foil so when he tried scraping the gel off and it didn't immediately come off he began sanding again. He did this three times before switching with another person who worked there. I immediately began regretting the decision to stop by a new "closer" place then where I usually go. Without actually looking at my nails she told me to wash them. By this step, the old gel polish should be gone but it wasn't. I found myself trying to scrape the chunks of gel Polish off of most of my fingers still. When I sat back down I hesitantly told her there was still some gel on my nails and she looked, filed at one of them for a few seconds and was like "better?". It wasn't better, but like I said, I hate confrontation so I figured (hoped) that as she actually went on to paint them, she would notice and fix it. But she didnt. She painted a few coats before beginning the white tips. She shakely started with a pinky and asked how I liked it. It was uneven, thin on one side and thick in the other, and she missed like a quarter of the very tip of my nail all together. It looked like she painted a white tetris piece on my nail. I told her I like them a little thicker and she began with the rest. I watched her struggle through it and I found a way to politely ask if they had many people get this done there (thinking they didn't, hoping I didn't sound as nervous as I was), she said yes. When she finished, she had me look, she did not seem or sound confident in her work and it showed. My nails looked terrible! The tips were all different thicknesses, some crooked, some just straight, some curved. There wasn't one nail that didn't need correcting (I swear I'm not picky either!! ) I felt all types of anxiety at this point because I don't want to go the next few weeks with crappy nails and regret not saying anything. But there is also a sort of vulnerability being in that seat, I don't want to offend her. I decided to ask if we could just skip the white tips and I'll just go with the clear gel (can't mess that up) the original guy comes back and they talk in their native language, she asks if I want a different girl to try like 3 times and I said no all 3 times. Her mood completely shifted from nervous to angry, she wiped off the white paint, finished off a top coat, (rolling her eyes and talking the other employees, clearly about me in her native tongue) didn't bother wiping the gel off with alcohol and says I'm good. I go to pay and of course she's the one at the register now when it was previously the guy. I paid by card and she threw my card back at me. It was all incredibly hostile and rude and I left feeling awful. Wondering how they were still in business, concerned about the girl who just walked in for a pedicure and ripped off for paying $20 for like 3 coats of this weird not really pink color they put on your nails before the white tips. My nails look so bad, even though it's just plain, they are all lumpy from the gel that was still on there, the shapes are all screwed up and ugh. I'm never going here again. If you read this entire thing, I hope I've given you ample warning. I usually don't pay heed to warnings on reviews because they vary soo much and I've been to some cool places that had bad reviews, but I know that there are people who rely on reviews, so this is for you guys. Good luck!

I have been going to this salon for about ten years. Even though I've always had poor experiences, I always go back because it's close and I need to go last minute. I have never had a good experience there. They have always been rude and very unwelcoming. I don't mind zero conversation during services. However, any conversation from what I would like done to a casual comment gets me a very frustrated response or no response. I went there today because my mom is too stubborn To drive any farther and says it doesn't bother her. I tagged along because I wanted to spend time with her. I only wanted a color change and not a full pedicure. It was misunderstood what I wanted done. When I noticed the woman moving on to the pedicure treatment after the polish removal and slight nail file (because I already clipped my own before coming), I stopped her and reminded her that I only wanted a color change like I said at the beginning. It was clear now that she didn't speak English because she continued the treatment. When I was able to grab the owner's attention, I told him I only want a color change not a pedicure if he could tell her. He became very upset and argued that he filled the tub with water and everything. So yes, it's now a pedicure because I've cost you two gallons of water. But should I remind him about how I sat with my feet in the water for over 20 minutes before someone helped me? This is just my most recent experience. My mom told me that it recently changed owners and clearly for the worse. I will never go back there. Mama is going to have to make the hike! Ps. Lu Lu Nails and Venetian Nails in Cinnaminson, NJ are both excellent salons. Even from your first visit, the entire staff of both places are very friendly and helpful.

This place is the worst. If I could give it zero stars I would! When we walked in, the woman behind the counter shouted 'What do you want?' Well, hello to you too! Should've walked out then. My sister got a pedicure and I had gel nails removed and then got a manicure. The woman was rough with my hands and cut my cuticles 3 times! Three fingers bled! She rushed through the entire thing because she was waiting to get her own pedicure. The place was dirty, they kept throwing nail clippings on the floor and there were stains all over the walls. The sink where you wash you hands was dirty. While my gel nails were soaking they texted or talked on the phone right in front of me. They were not friendly and I was not impressed. Save yourself a horrible experience and don't go!

I got a refill with gel polish that cost $47. When I said that was ridiculously high and asked for a breakdown the math changed several times and nothing ever added up to the $47. What a rip off, don't go there!!

On my third visit to this salon (first two were fine) I asked for a gel manicure. They needed to remove my old gel polish before starting. Noticed that after soaking my nails in a bowl of solvent for removal, she re-squeezed it back into the the bottle to use again...what!!!
