There's only two nail artists that are somewhat decent but if you get anyone else it's gonna look like you have creatures on your fingers. Got the worst set i've ever had & had to get them fixed. Found out they completely ruined my nail-bed. They were nice though
I went with a friend for a pedicure two weeks ago. The experience was just ok. We did get a lot of pressure to upgrade our service and had to keep clarifying I just wanted a BASIC pedi with REGULAR polish. NO GEL! Also, not a relaxing environment. Then a few days ago I noticed the polish was chipping already, oh well. I decided to go get a color change and get it redone - thinking I just won't go back there. So in doing that, the polish would not come off! The owner at my regular shop asked if I had gel done...I said no! Well....the guy at Apache used gel polish BUT did not use the gel procedure - so no wonder it was chipping off! So much for a quick color change! I have never done a YELP review before - but this definitely warranted one!
I waffled between giving the salon a 3 or 4 star rating and ended up giving them 3 stars. I bought a mani/pedi. The pedi was the better of the two. The man was very thorough and the leg massage was nice and nice massage chairs. However, the man was a bit rough. He cut drew blood when trimming a cuticle on my toe and again when trimming a cuticle on my a finger. The hot wraps were really hot.... With respect to the manicure, it was OK, but the man who did the pedicure started the manicure didn't reall do a good job filing my nails and he took another customer in the middle of the manicure and another woman took over. When this woman finished, I was "abandoned" at a drying station for 15 to 20minutes until I finally got up and mentioned that I wanted to pay. I don't think that I will come back.
Went and got my nails done for Christmas. I live over an hour away so I don't go to roch very often. The tech was really rough on my nail beds, kept trying to get me to do a waxing. I got a two tone, coffin shape mid length set with gel polish on top, I was charged 70$ for a set that I'd usually pay 35$ for any where else. They started falling off in less then a week and the first nail completely fell off after a week and a day. I was in roch for a doctor appointment so I went back to get my money back and all they offered me was a gift card. Which is something I guess but I DO NOT want to go back there to get my nails done I just wanted my money back so I could go some where else.
I had a pedicure. I got home and my soles were still ruff. That's why I did Pedi to smooth out calluses. I'm a cosmetologist and I know what generic is.
