Ambitions Salon in Winona, MN

Been there a few times, much better then the Cities. It's a totally classes place with out the pain of all the $$$

On the info section of this page it states, "Walk-ins welcome." Well, unfortunately, they're not welcomed. If you are reading this then it probably means that you are considering trying this place out. I recommend you don't even bother because based on what the lady at the front desk told us they only serve regular customers since they are overbooked. We went in to purchase a gift card, and when we requested one we were asked if the recipient was a regular customer. When we revealed she wasn't they said, "I'm sorry, but we aren't looking for new customers. I'm overbooked," and so we left. So yeah. If you're reading this and thinking about giving this place a go, I say don't. If you're not a regular they will just turn you away within the first minute. Save your time.

I was very unsatisfied with my visit to Ambitions and was disappointed with the customer service there. If you're looking for a new salon, I recommend looking for a different one in the Winona area - my experiences with other places have been much more positive.

A few years ago I got a bad haircut at this place, so what I'm about to write is partially my fault because I decided to give it another chance with a different stylist...Nikki Pugh. Without a doubt, Nikki Pugh gave me the worst haircut I've ever had in my entire 55 years of life. I went home and cried. Then I had to pay someone else at a different salon to fix it because the customer service here is so bad that they wouldn't let me come back for a redo. She said she did her best and couldn't help me anymore. Even Mitch, the owner of the salon wouldn't see me to make it right. Two bad haircuts in the same salon and crappy customer service. How does this place stay in business? In the world of business, aren't you supposed to make sure your customers are happy? Guess he doesn't care. The second stylist at the other salon who fixed my hair was shocked at how uneven and chopped up my hair was. This wasn't just a tiny mistake. This was total incompetence. If you value your hair style, stay away from this place. If I could give zero stars, I would. Something good came out of all this though. If I hadn't needed to find another stylist to fix the bad cut Nikki Pugh gave me, I probably never would have found the incredibly talented and skilled woman who managed to turn the disaster into something beautiful. So thanks Nikki. Because of your incompetence, I found the best hair stylist I've ever been to. She will have my business and praise for a very long time. All you'll have is bad Karma. Shame on you.
