My hair designer. Karen Lee, is great! Responsive to my needs, easy to chat with. The place is clean, nicely decorated, and friendly.

The hairstylists are independent employees/contractors there. There is no receptionist. I find that each stylist is only friendly to their own customers. The first stylist that you see as you walk into the salon at the very first station by the window is the face of the saloon and it is not a welcoming one. They ignore and even unfriendly the other customers in the salon, creating somewhat uncomfortable and unpleasant environment. It feels like there is tension between the stylists in there as well. Something is in the air there. The salon should be a happy and relaxing place where one goes for rejuvenation and instead this hostile energy and lack of basic friendliness makes you not even want to come there. I don't know how the stylists do not realize that if they smile and show hospitality to all the customers , then it would be good for everyone's business in that place.

I used Dakota Salon for my wedding, and they are amazing!! They basically let us take over the whole salon: All the bridesmaids, my mom, my husband's mom, and my little niece came in to get hair done and we had a blast. It's a nice big space with a very relaxed vibe. More importantly, they did an AMAZING job with our hair. Lauren Reid did my (bride's) hair, and she and Sarah Bosmans split the rest of our crew. I absolutely loved how my hair turned out, and so did everyone else. Lauren is really amazing and creative, and also so calm and fun to talk to. I highly recommend Lauren and the salon!

I've been going to Gail for almost 4yrs know. She is great with my curly hair. She is very knowledgeable, patient and listens to what I want and recommends the best way to do things. She's cut, colored and done about everything with my hair.She has cut my daughters hair as well; we both have curly and LOTS of hair. I just got highlights for the summer and I LOVE them. If you have curly hair, she is the way to go! Thank you Gail!

We love Lauren Reid! She does an outstanding job, is creative and will be honest if what you are considering won't result in the best look for you. She has steered my daughter from some hair-tastrophies! I have gone to Lauren for more years than I can count and my daughter (12) also sees her. Always puts customer first and is a riot to talk to. It's like getting your hair and girls day all in one. My color over for gray is always perfect, introduces me to an array of products when I need a change and is very knowledgeable. Salon is professional, clean and easy to get in to. Love!
