If you want to be discriminated against because you can't conform to there standards and are not white and privileged i highly recommend not going to school here there are far better schools who are welcoming and inclusive.the owners seem nice when coming in but once they get you in that quickly changes and there colors show.
If anyone goes to a beauty college for anything don't go to academy of salon n spa at 311 s 16 the n ft Smith Arkansas. It's takes about four hours for them to do a perm n if u complaint about how many hours it takes, they get pissed. The owner let me know that the public is not her priority that the students r more important that her customers. I wanted to get the rods out of my hair n I started taking them out n she put her hands on me n pushed my hands away n was being very ugly n disrespectful. She put her hands on me two or three times. I feel as if I've been assaulted
As a former student from this place, I can give an honest and accurate review. The owners are money hungry people who do not care to accomodate students in any way. They preach professionalism but are very unprofessional themselves. If you have an opinion on anything, it is not valued, you are just another number in their book. Favoritism should not have a place in any school, yet it does in this one. I write this review to warn anyone who is thinking of enrolling in this school because I believe all students deserve a healthy learning environment, something this school will not provide you.
Worst place EVER! Put a girl on me who had never ever cut human hair, just her doll. She told me that. & then, I told her nevermind, I'll go somewhere else. That made the manager mad so she chased me out to my car yelling at me!! Like really ?! She hit my car with her hand as I tried to drive away, & then ran & stood in front of my car to try block me from leaving. LOL! Do not go here. This place is horrible.
