I had an appointment with Esther for a haircut. I went into detail how I wanted my haircut. trim 1 inch, go over long layers, NO CHOPPY LAYERS, and texturize bangs. so she cut 2 inches, gave me choppy layers, and also added more bangs when I told her not to. I haven't been to this salon in several years, and thought I'd try it again. Music is playing at such a high volume that it's hard to have a conversation with the stylist. While I enjoy a little background music, I prefer it to be just that-subtle and in the background, not blaring. The biggest negative, however, is the cost. On average, I pay anywhere between $125-$190 for a highlight and cut. This salon charged me approximately 60% more than that! Nearly $300 for a cut and highlight and no blowout or styling...are you kidding me? I understand inflation is everywhere, but that's ridiculous. I can go to numerous other places in the Centerville, Kettering, Oakwood area and pay much less for just as good of a job. I will not be returning here and do not recommend.

Susannah did a great job on my hair! I wanted a sleek bob and she did it :). It's just the shape and length I requested. She really took her time and asked a lot of questions to make sure we were on the same page. I was just coming off of a not so great cut from another salon/stylist, so I was nervous. The salon is tucked away, I live nearby but had no idea it was there. It's in the shopping center across from Meijer and Dunkin'. It's clean and cute inside. They have drinks to choose from and use really nice hair products. I will be back!!!

This place tries to be something they aren't, first red flag is that they need prepayment for a simple haircut. It would be different if it was a time consuming service like an extension install, but prepaying for a haircut is just low rent. I had a couple of great haircuts here, but the girl I liked wasn't working there anymore. So the girl cut my hair with my back to the mirror. They want you to be surprised when they are done but I wish I had watched her hack my hair. Then they style it before you can see if it's even. Mine wasn't. Finally, my "big reveal". It's curled and it looks ok. My hair is straight so I couldn't see how uneven it was. I pointed out a chunk of hair that is so obviously too long and she snips it. I pay and tip. Didn't love my hair but didn't want to be rude to the stylist since she was nice. Fast forward to the next day to when it isn't styled and i realize that my 67 dollar haircut, including tip, sucked. I only wanted at most two inches of my long hair cut off and now I have gross above my shoulder layers that aren't even blended and only on one side. Two different people asked me what was wrong with my hair. I called and they only will fix a haircut if it's the same stylist that you had originally. WHO WOULD EVER WANT THE SAME PERSON? Then, they try to justify their inability to make things right by ignorantly interpreting the law. Basically they try to allege that due to legal reasons, they can't compel another stylist to fix it. Hahaha. My credit card payment went to your salon, not your stylist. Whether they see W2 employees or 1099 contractors has nothing to do with me. So basically this place wouldn't fix my hair because of involuntary servitude. Haha. I get that they can't make it grow but can they at least make it even? Literally if you get a bad haircut at Great Clips they will fix it and never would force you to have the same person. So yeah, this place is ghetto. The prepayment requirement should have tipped me off. Since they don't want to fix a service they provided if this happens to you just call your credit card and tell them to cancel payment. The payment goes to the salon and the manager /owner isn't trying to make the service right so any major credit card will dispute the charges. It is hilarious that the manager/owner thinks that she found some technicality in the law that enables her to not stand by the work the salon provides. It doesn't matter if they are W2 employees or 1099 contractors, my credit card payment goes to the salon. I ended up having to cut the other side of my hair and blend it myself. It looks way better than the other side. Can't wait for it to grow back. I would seriously avoid this place. It's all good here until it isn't. And if they can't even be bothered to take five minutes to trim your haircut so it is even, do you really think they would fix your color or extensions that they messed up? Imagine if you get bad highlights and the only person they will let you fix it with is the same person who dyed it yellow? Run.

First time trusting my hair with someone and I lost all my length.,I had told her I want my length cleaned up to bring out my curls cause I've been struggling to grow it and walked out with 5 inches gone curls shrunk so much in the front that I look like a bowl cut and cried when I washed it.. couldn't of felt more ugly and I've never had such a bad cut :/ I left all trust in her and wasn't happy,so now to start over a s let it grow out yet again and hope for the best.
