712 Salon in Charleston, WV

Larry is exceptional. I've had Deva Cuts in the past and he is the best by far. He very thoroughly explained every step to create the perfect curls--the dos, the don'ts, and the whys. For the first time in my entire life, I didn't walk out of a salon with a huge mass of frizz that they tried to pass off as "volume". This time, I actually had well-defined, beautiful curls. I was so happy that I cried. I don't know how I'll ever let another stylist touch my hair. If you're on the fence about getting a Deva Cut, do it and ask for Larry. You won't regret it.

The salon was very nice as well. They had a nice snack/coffee bar so I was able to sip on some coffee while my hair dried.

Today was my first time at 712 Salon - WOW! I have finally found my go-to spot for cut and color. Christina did my hair, and it has never looked better. I went in with slightly damaged, bleached and brassy blonde hair. I originally scheduled for a balayage, but Christina explained to me that because my hair was already light blonde, just dying the top part of my hair a darker shade would have the same effect. She showed me a picture of what it would look like, and warned me ahead of time that my hair would be a little dark at first, but that it will fade into the color I want. I appreciate that she told me exactly what to expect. Side bonus - she's very gentle (doesn't pull your hair and head in a million directions) and she's very sweet! First time meeting her, and I felt like I'd known her for years. I will definitely be returning to 712 Salon to see Christina.

I have had a terribly difficult time finding a stylist to properly cut my wavy/curly hair. A few people referred me to Larry, but I put off going because of the cost. $80 is a lot to pay for a haircut, especially for someone who works only part-time. After bad experiences at a few other salons, I finally scheduled an appointment with Larry out of sheer desperation. I received an email, not a call, 30 minutes before my appt time telling me it had been pushed back an hour. I had plans later and didn't have time for that, so I called and left a voicemail to cancel. A couple of months later, I made a new appt  with Larry and was seen on time. He was nice, seemed knowledgable, and took his time, but he didn't cut much. When I stepped out into the light of day, I could see it didn't look good at all. Still searching...

I waited 30 minutes for my appointment after being told the stylist would be "right with me". No explanation as to why she was running behind. I finally walked out after being told it would be an additional five minutes with no sorry.

It makes such a difference when you find a stylist that actually LISTENS!  Daniel is amazing!  Not only do you leave feeling fabulous, you know your hair is healthier too. After all, your hair is the accessory you wear every day, so why not take care of it and go to someone who can make it look fabulous?
