Well, i did make it back for another "CANCER CUT" lol.... It did my heart good to see Nancy's place busy so early on Saturday morning. Umm I believe it was about 9:30a or 10:00a ?? I arrived and I was greeted and apologized to because of the 4 people ahead of me. Lol I chuckled and recalled that I had offered a very similar challenge to my yelp followers. Make Nancy's shop a standing room only! Lol not quite yet but darn close! Good for you Nancy! OK, so this is how the morning began... my alarm went off about 7:30a and I fought to get myself out of bed... I stumbled into the closet and retrieved my bathrobe and ugg slippers and navigated myself to the shower. I reached into opened glass door of the shower and turned the hot water on and I stepped in and scrub scrub and rinse rinse... umm, yeah, I chose to repeat. I towel off & wrap myself in my favorite WATERWORKS 800 gram Turkish cotton bathsheet. I grabbed my heavy chunky 800 gram Turkish cotton robe.. (a bit of back story.. when I worked for waterworks a zillion years ago.. lol OK, mayhaps work is too strong of a word, ( when I popped in to play and mingle and shop I bought a few of these robes to keep as gifts or whatever). I got to Nancy's shop and decided to just buzz it all. I think I might have witnessed more hair on my pj top this morning. I can't explain how difficult it is to remain diligent in this fight when I witness hair left on my pillow or on my robe or pajama top. I sit down at Nancy's station and she runs her hands over my head to see what the heck is happening and I say that I'd like another buzz if not shorter. She looks at me and smiles encouragingly and tells me that I really don't need to that drastic of a cut yet. So we land on a #2 blade and go. In high school I remember the SKA kids or even MODS rocking this look and I was often intrigued by the look. I guess now I GET to enjoy test driving a bit of a flashback look. LET'S DO IT!!! I say to Nancy and I sit back and witness hair fall down the gown that I'm wearing. When we're done I look into the mirror and smile, it looks less cancer-ry and more like a fashion determined look. OK I think and decide to go with that mindset. thanks again Nancy for always being there. See you next time !

Been going there for around 8 years. I've never waited for more than 30 minutes even on their busiest days. Im a simple man. I really couldn't care less about how my hair looks as long as it's not in my eyes or long enough to touch my shirt collars. After my very first visit there, my cut every time after that has always been "same as last time, maybe a bit shorter/longer." And I don't even remember what my first cut was. They do a good job, and it isn't expensive. I havent been in almost a year due to covid-19, so I hope the ladies are doing all right.

This place was our family's go-to place for years. But as one reviewer said, the quality has gone down over the years and the service, which was never its strong suit, is even worst. More than 10 years ago, a male hairstylist worked there and seemed more attentive and professional. The owner-operator has been the same for more than two decades and she is sloppy and obstinate. We came back a few days after my son's haircut and she wouldn't touch it up despite his dissatisfaction with it. She wanted to charge him for another haircut! So beware: if you are unhappy with your service, there is no recourse. In Cantonese, she told me, "not satisfied, no solution for you."

the ladies here have been cutting my hair for 10 years. i dont speak a lick of chinese but over time we've developed a nonverbal relationship...plus the price is great.
