I've been to the salon three times, the first time was amazing, the second time was less than stellar, and the third time was somewhere in between. Making the 3 star rating the average.
I have zero complaints about my first visit, my hair looked amazing, the price was awesome ($25).
The second time, I was told that I was the last appointment of the day, and it showed. Everything was rushed, and I felt meh about the cut the day after, because it wasn't really like the photo I brought in. But they were having some great holiday bargains on product, so it wasn't all meh.
The third visit was the least impressive, leading off with the cost nearly doubling with no mention until I was at the register. I get it, prices go up with experience, but a mention would have been appropriate. I also ended up with a haircut that I would have already had fixed if I hadn't spent double what I had budgeted.
Similarities between all three visits include the owner repeatedly checking in and using language that made me think my stylist was brand new (not a vote of confidence). Lots of peer pressure at the register to recommend friends and family, and to rebook immediately.

I always go to Marshall's for my hair. always! Always have a good time there and I give there hairstylists 5 stars. The reason I give them 1 star is because I wanted to try there eyelash extensions because I heard they weren't to bad to get. First off I got to my appointment and the lady that was going to do my eyelashes didn't introduce herself, didn't even ask for my name, didn't tell me anything except hi follow me. Second she didn't tell anything about how the whole thing works it was my first time doing anything like this and I told her so and she just told me to lay down close my eyes so she starts and halfway Im dying because the glue smell was so strong but she didn't bother to warn me about it until I started coughing then she just kinda chuckled and was like yeah the smell burns a little. The smell was getting worse and worse and she didn't stop or take a little break so I could breath I had to stop her and ask her for a drink of water bc my throat burned so bad. I told her I couldn't take it much longer so she kinda hurried and did the rest. At the end of it I told her she did a good job and she took some pictures and finally told me her name at the end of the 2 hour session! Third she didn't tell me any information on how to take care of them or what I can and can't do I had to ask her and all she did was hand me a little card with instructions and told me I could buy the little mascara once they start falling off. I set up my fill in appointment for 3 weeks after and go on my way. So come Sunday night all but a few spare eyelashes had fallen off!! Not even a full week and she told me it would last 3 weeks. I called Monday to cancel my refill appointment and they asked if I wanted to reschedule I told the lady no bc they had already fallen out and I had just wasted $150. All the lady said was oh ok and then hung up the phone!! Not even an I'm sorry or what can we do to fix or even offer a discount on the fill ins! Fill ins are $50 she could have offered some sort of compensation. For people that know me know I never write reviews or try to cause issues of any sort bc I know people have their off days but this is just unacceptable. I'm so disappointed in this place after being a customer there for the past 4 years I will not be going back and do not recommend.
This place went above and beyond to help me out today. I live across the country in San Francisco, the staff, and I assume the owner (or one of them), made this whole process much easier. Not only did they walk me through what to get, the owner took time out of her busy day to hand deliver the whole package. I can not rate the service but look forward to hearing about it later on. Just wanted to say thanks for making things so easy!
