First off, I do not give one stars lightly, or without reason, especially for such a sensitive thing as a beauty salon. However, the experience has been so awful, and being as I have to live with the disaster of a haircut, fair is fair.
Short of naming names: do NOT go the male hairstylist! My first two visits to him were not stellar but nothing on the verge of catastrophe as the final one.
Things you do NOT want to hear from a stylist, all said to me during this ordeal by the stylist:
1. I think people will be able to figure out what it is supposed to look like
2. I'm sorry I got your bangs so short; one client of mine calls this the 'horse chewed them off look'
And as he was attempting to fix the disaster he created...
3. Have you ever thought of a perm?
It cost me a pretty penny with a correctional stylist to fix this mess. When I told her he didn't wet my hair prior to cutting but soaked it with thermal spray and flat ironed it to a hissing steam she was aghast. Like I said, do NOT go to the male stylist unless you want the horse chewed, bedraggled, cut by a weed eater, and singed by the campfire look.
