Zano Salon & Spa in Batavia, IL

I have been seeing Dana for well over a year. She does a amazing job on my color! And I cannot get over how she styles my hair. I always feel amazing when I walk out.

I booked Zano's for my wedding hair...less than thrilled. I was quoted $110 on the phone. Somehow it was $150 when I checked out for 55 minutes of minimal styling services! The girl had NO experience with hair extensions. This place advertises WEDDING hair. This would be an occasion to use extensions, right? She didn't ask if I liked the front before she started pinning it up. Looked nothing like the picture I brought it. Then she didn't spray it when she was done. I had to ask her to before leaving. This was also after the girl in the next chair was shooting the front of my hair with her hair dryer past her client. Thankfully my mom who is a former stylist and my regular hairdresser who was unavailable that morning would be at the wedding to bail me out and they did.

I have been a client of Nazima's for several years. She is an exceptional colorist!!! She is fun and sweet and always makes me feel feel like her number one priority! Not only does she give me the richest color, she always goes extra mile to make sure that my hair is soft, shiny, healthy and beautifully styled!!! I won't let anyone else touch my hair!!!

Very impressed with the salon and Viviana. She was able to even out my hair color with a minimum amount of foils. This is very much appreciated as I am now on a fixed income! I also appreciate that she is very gentle with hair that had been damaged elsewhere.

I had been going to this location for about two years and everything was wonderful. However, about 6 months ago I got a pretty drastic haircut from long to short and it was not at all what I had asked for, not to mention it was a horrific cut altogether. Pretty much non-fixable unless she cut off another 2 inches and I wasn't ready for that. Fast forward 3 months later and I come in for a fixed haircut and a half foil; highlights. Cut was alright, coloring was awful. I'm talking early 2000s skunk highlights. Bad. I'm naturally blonde, my hair lifts easy in color. Had my hairdresser not left me halfway through my foil to talk to another customer, for at least 20 minutes, perhaps this review would be different. Thereafter, I can tell she's surprised as soon as she's pulling off the foils. She knew it looked bad and didn't do anything about it until I said something. My appointment was at 3:45pm and I was the last one sitting in the chair at 9pm. Now, I'm left with a bad haircut that "needs to grow out in order to be fixed" and a shit dye job that I'll have to wait to grow out for at least a year. Not to mention, this place is pricey! It's trashy and tacky to allow your employees to have hand-written notes with their cashapp accounts and "cash tips preferred" written on a ripped piece of paper in a cheap picture frame. Bite me. I'll be happy to take my business elsewhere. Save your scalp, go somewhere else.
