Yvonne Nails & Spa in Elkview, WV

First let me start by saying I was one of the first customers at Yvonne nails and spa 3 1/2 years ago. I have always enjoyed my experience there but have recently broken my hip. I had put off getting my nails done and my toes done because of a broken hip but it got to where I needed to call and make an appointment and explain the situation because I can't sit for very long. Well some 30 to 40 minutes later after my appointment time I was starting my pedicure and my daughter-in-law was there to get her nails done. They put my daughter-in-law in the chair with the male nail tech she was showing him what she wanted done to her nails and he said he couldn't do it so she was using her iPad to try to show him what she wanted. He said something in his native tongue to the lady who owns the business and she got up shut my daughter-in-law's iPad told told her to get up and pick a nail polish color and then took another customer and put her in my daughter-in-law spot. At this point my toenails had only been buffed not polished not or scrubbed nothing else. My daughter-in-law then came to sit down down beside me and tell me what was going on at that point my hip was already hurting and I still had nails to get done. I then thought about how that she had treated my daughter-in-law so I elected to end my pedicure at that point and leave because of the treatment of the guest that I brought there. I proceeded to go out front and tell CC the lady that owns this establishment that I did not appreciate the treatment my guest got. She said well she kept asking the same question and I said no she was not asking the same question she was trying to show him on her iPad how she wanted her nails done she then proceeded to argue with me briefly about this matter so I tipped the girl that had started my pedicure I asked the owner how much I owed her for my toenails being buffed and she said nothing. I then told her I was willing to pay for what little service had already been provided and she said there will be no charge. I then told her that I want to leave here feeling like I owed somethingAnd again offered to pay for my services. Seeing the treatment and no apology for how my daughter-in-law had been treated thrown out of the chair and someone else putting put in her chair that had not made an appointment and then explain to CC that I would not be back to her establishment again because I wouldn't have treated her that way nor the male tech or the lady sitting in the chair waiting to get her pedicure. Still no apology and then explained again that I'm sorry that it had to end this way but I will not be back to that salon. CC had always been nice to me but when one of her other nail techs did my nails I always got either the wrong color or my nails looked a little off but I never complained and always paid for the services rendered. I just feel that you should not treat people like that especially when you yourself have let things go. So in closing I just want to point out we had to wait over 40 minutes to get my daughter-in-law in the chair to get started but they can't wait four or five minutes for her to show him how she wanted her nails done. So we waited on them but they couldn't wait on us. Bad service just wanted to let everyone know if you're looking for a top notch or anything extra done to your nails this is not the place for you.  I have also witnessed her treating one of her own employees child badly. Said employee never returned. She has a retention problem with employees also.

You sit there in cold water waiting and waiting.  They do not have enough help and use students occasionally which is not what I am paying for.  Y
