Yngrid Dominican Beauty salon in High Point, NC

They did exactly what I asked for, I was the only customer there. So I feel like I got special attention.  I was a walk it, so I really appreciated it. The dryers are very hot.  But in my experience, most Dominican places have very hot dragon dyers. They were very careful about covering my ears so I didn't get burned and asking me if I was comfortable. Honestly, I have no idea why they got bad reviews. I had a very good experience.  I was only getting my hair washed and blow dried to be braided later so I didn't do a whole lot, but they seem very qualified to do more.  I did get a deep conditioner.

I made an appointment to get my hair ombré colored with highlights, blown out and trimmed a week before my actual appointment. The appointment was on a Saturday at 8am. As I am the first to walk through the door as soon as the salon opens 2 other ladies walk in behind me I notice they're only getting blow out and are service quickly. I was informed after the 1st hour of waiting that the owner would be doing my hair. 30mins later the girl washing hair hands me her phone and it's the owner apologizing for being late saying she'll arrive in a few minutes. She didn't touch my hair until 10am! After I get my color, at the wash bowl the girl is violently combing through my natural hair, instead of detangling properly! I can not argue that my hair did turned out just as I asked but they really need to work on customer service and being on time. It's rude and inconsiderate, and as I'm leaving thinking there would be some type of discount for the owners tardiness the amount adds up to $150, which I'd gladly pay and tip on top of that, if I didn't feel they were so rude to disregard my time and being rough with my hair. So at 2pm I payed and left no tip. The only tip deserved is advice: BE ON TIME FOR APPOINTMENTS! I will not be returning and would not recommend unless you literally have the whole day to wait for service.

What I liked is that the owner was really nice and wanted to provide the best service possible. The salon is clean and they do really good hair.
What I didn't: very slow service I was there going on 7 hours and would have been there longer if not for someone letting me go ahead of them to finish. I had an appt but didn't get started for at least an hour then got the shampoo sit under the dryer for an hour and half treatment ( not in a good way) after then waiting even longer I then get serviced only to get a stopping point again with no finish in site. Someone had to give up being finished for me to get out by 9!!!! appointment was at 2!!!  I was getting an install with the new technique the hair stylist suggested that sounded really awesome. It is different  but did not last as long as I thought. I am not having this done again. Oh and by the way the stylist tell me her license is expired and doesn't plan on renewing because its "too much work"!
So then....
So I get to see the boyfriend or husband what ever sit while they talk.. awkward.... And to top off the reason for the less than friendly service I get I'm sick.. well thanks for passing that on, 6 hours in.
Read this and roll your own dice on going, I'm not going back!!

I would like to share my experience with Yngrid wit all you. First of all, her professionalism is excellent! Her staff is very polite, and the most important of all, her veraety of high quality products is just amazing?.... I stepped in her place looking for help doubting that I will find it since I was coming from a extremely bad experience, I was very depressed. Today, I can say aloud " thank you Yngrid" it will take time to restaurate my hair because it got big time damaged, but it will be done. I feel now more confident and positive.

So, my hair is usually wild, tangled, and a untameable. I get turned down everywhere! But Yngrid got it done! She has a regular customer in me as long as she is in business! Never have I had such great color or caring service, and she even squeezed my friend in! Love it. Love it. Love it. Come here for your hair needs you won't regret it!!
