YAI YAI in Crystal River, FL

Husband and I are snow birds from Mich and bought a home not 10 min away from YaiYai Salon in Homosassa. Knowing I would need to have my hair cut and colored I had no idea where to go. Got on Yelp and since YaiYai was so close and convenient for me checked out the reviews. They were excellent and I had to look no further, this is perfect for me. Called and got my appointment with Lillian, the owner. Parking is in the back of her Salon and you enter in the front. I was enthusiastically and cheerfully welcomed by Lillian and that was the start of what would be a great experience. The salon has been renovated and it is fresh and inviting to the eye. To the left is a small bar and bottles of wine you can sample and purchase. When you walk in is a wall of makeup and hair products, for me that is like being in a kid's candy shop, pure temptation!! The area you get your hair worked on was very cool and decorated great, one of the walls had nothing but black and white pictures of woman , a lot vintage and scenery photos very Parisian looking, just a lot to take in. Lillian is so sweet and accommodating and asked a lot of questions about your wants and needs and offering her advice. She does a blueprint of your hair growth and this is written down and saved for future reference.I could not have been any happier with the final results of my hair, it's just like my girl back in Mich had done it, with Lillian making some changes that made my hair look even better. The price was very reasonable, I thought it would be more expensive, nope, cheaper than at home. I was so impressed I made 2 more appointments with her before I go back to Mich. I knew I couldn't leave without checking out the products and bought some, one of them being the shade of lipstick Lillian was wearing, gorgeous! Make your next appointment with Lillian and give her a try, you will find yourself becoming a regular. Thank you Lillian, you rock!! Debbie

Lillian is a high quality stylist who does a fantastic job with color and cut. Her salon is very clean and high quality. I love going there!!

The BEST salon I have been to in my 17 years living in FL. I first went to Yai Yai to have my very long braid cut for "Wigs for Kids" a year ago and now won't go anywhere else! Lillian is one of the sweetest persons I know!

I seriously needed a post COVID restructuring of the hair do, so being new to Crystal River, I naturally scoped out a few places on Yelp. Honestly, I'm typically a no frills kinda guy where a SuperCuts would suffice... BUT, after seeing a few reviews and checking out the website... do yourself a favor and start there!! Unique is a complete understatement! Even for guys, there is an outdoor cigar lounge!! Grab a beer, or a cappuccino and have a smoke! After hours is more of a social lounge. The owners are great and we're very welcoming to the new guy in town! Although it's a bit more than your average Supercuts, it was still well worth it! I'll go out on a limb and say one of the best cuts I've ever had... but let's be honest, there's really no comparison!

This place is absolutely exceptional!!! This is my second time here but my first time for one of the Friday night events. I was invited by Lillian at another establishment and we came out to check it out. Firstly, everyone was so nice. Lillian is such a positive and sweet person. The atmosphere was so fun and inviting. The food was fresh, crisp, and scrumptious . I got the ceviche and the cheese plate with a few different drinks. I loved it. The music was on point and overall it was just a relaxing experience!! We will be back and hopefully with some friends.
