X-press Nails in Wilkes-Barre, PA

So I went back thinking everything would be the same I had accidentally broke 4 nails all together on both hands at work. So when I walk in it's a new guy, I had seen him before being very aggravated by a young girl who had accidentally touched her nails (kid's sitting still not easy ) but her mom had kind of neutralized the situation well this time I get this guy, he says what do u want me to do with these???? Talking abt my broken nails I said well if you need to remove the rest and charge for a full set that's fine or just replace what I broke your choice. He then tells me that my nails are too long that's why they broke ( no buddy it's because I am in healthcare) So he removed the rest huffing and puffing as he did. Not a word was spoken until he told me to stop holding my hand this way or move it that way . He yells at me watch what your doing your going to screw it up. I literally could hear the silence in the place as he spoke so loud. My nails were good I am not going to say he wasn't good it for me is all about my experience. If I could of picked up and walked out I would of. I even was so mad inside I could feel tears. Why be mean to people for no reason? If your not happy with your job find another. I won't be back. No matter how good of a nail tech you are a little smile goes a long way and I still left a great tip! I believe that someone called him Tony not Anthony Tony.

Worst experience of my life. I asked for a design and it turned out nothing like I asked for. The design required a design nail with the same color as the rest of the nails. The design color did not match the color of the rest of my nails so there was plain nail polish painted over the $50 dip nails. The nails do not have a clean shape and are jagged. The consistency over the nail is not smooth and there are clear lumps that should have been filed over. Just to point out I asked clearly if the lady could do the design and she said yes, I would have chosen a different design if this was to complex. 0/10 I will never go again.

Great local nail salon! I got a really nice gel manicure. Everyone here is so friendly, my nail tech was awesome! Decent prices.

This is my go-to nail place that I always recommend it to my friends and family. I always make an appointment with Andy--he is great! He does a great job every time and we have the most hilarious conversations. He has such a great personality. I always get compliments on my nails when he does them. Anthony (the owner) is another great, talented guy with a friendly/goofy personality. I am a fan of unique/different nail designs and they don't do the super fancy designs as seen on Pinterest, etc, but if you show them a picture, they will try or they may modify it. During COVID they are always masked and require you to mask as well. They also have plastic barriers between you and them while they are doing your nails. Pricewise: I always get an acrylic fill with all gel polish--I also typically get some kind of design on all 10 of my fingers or at least 4 and I pay around $42. To keep the price down you can get regular polish or a gel topcoat over regular polish.

I had a great experience here!! I'm always nervous when going to a different nail salon but I absolutely loved my nails!!! Anthony is very nice and talkative!
