had appt that was made on the phone yesterday. When I drove 45 mins , they told me they didnt have me scheduled and I explained yes you even mentioned you were next to Port Javaon the phone. They asked me to show PROOF on my phone that I called them, I told them I used my husbands phone not mine. Very very inconsiderate. Would never recommend going to this place.

First time here was a great experience! They had cold water available and even a coffee bar. They were so kind, the salon was so clean, and my hairdresser did an amazing job giving me a few highlights and bringing life back to my hair. Highly recommend this place! :)

Jason gave me a good haircut. The two stars are because I had a noon appointment which I booked with Jason and arrived on time. No one greeted me and Jason was not in sight. After a few minutes, a nice hairstylist, who was busy with a customer, came by and let me know that Jason had gone to get coffee and would be returning shortly. After waiting for ten minutes, Jason showed up with his  frozen coffee beverage and said "sorry, hi, be right with you." He then went into the back and I waited again. The service was very poor and unprofessional. I will not be back and only gave the stars because the haircut was good.

Let me start by saying my tenacious greys need coloring every 4 weeks- like clock work.
I recently moved cross country from Cali to the beautiful NC beaches (mid July).  I had my regular go-to hair girl that I Loved to no end!  Amazing colors, cuts and dare I say.... prices. So, naturally, I put off finding a new stylist for as long as humanly possible. Plus, the beach is just all kinds of ‍distracting. Summer is winding down. Tourists are all heading home and schools are back in session. Since I haven't had my hair colored since July 3rd (2017) and it is now October-- YES, YES and OH, My Gosh! YES- that means my grey hairs have grown up and are now walking their own baby greys to school!!!
YowOuch!!  As a single chic, This can not be Allowed and Must be remedied at once. After scanning various on-line sites, I came across a review for a guy at Watertown Hair.  All the reviews were good and the few pictures I was able to find looked nice. PS- reviews also said to ask for Jason.  Lucky for me, I was in within a couple of days of calling. After meeting Jason and the two of us discussing what I wanted for my hair and what he felt can/should be done professionally, I immediately felt comfortable and knew I was in competent hands.
For the longest of time, I believed to get a great color and cut that I completely loved, it meant going to Los Angeles-2 1/2 hrs in the car each way- Which does NOT include LA traffic-must Add  additional time for that  ( Love and miss you LA)
Jason spent a good hour+ drying my hair after the coloring and cut were completed.  The roots are gorgeous and while I only went for a trim this time, I can't wait to see what we come up with in the future. I feel incredibly lucky to have found a stylist who is very good at his trade and cool to chat with. Thank goodness I didn't have to go through a sea of not so greats to find a good one-- that would've made me a crabbyclient. ( my living at the beach jocularity ;p ).
Any other Newbies searching for a stylist they can count on or Locals just looking for a change- try Jason at Watertown Hair. Turned out well for me

I was vacationing in Oak Island the last two weeks of August and got that desperate "I need a haircut NOW" feeling, but didn't know where to go. My sisters and I spent a cloudy day walking around Southport, and happened to park right in front of Watertown Hair. I took a brochure from the table outside, looked it over, and decided to go back the next day.

I did not make an appointment. As a walk-in, I was asked to return in an hour when someone could help me. I didn't mind that at all, as there are so many great shops around and it's easy to spend an hour walking around and browsing.

Kristina was my stylist. I told her what I wanted and she delivered. This is the best cut I have gotten in years. I have long wavy-curly hair and many stylists have trouble giving me a cut that really optimizes the curl through good layers. I don't know if it's because the people I have previously been to aren't as familiar with how to cut my hair type, or just don't pay attention to the nuances demanded by each person's unique hair. Whatever they don't have by way of knowledge, experience, talent, or a combination of those, she does. She nailed this cut! I have gotten more compliments on my hair in the past month than in years prior.

I live in Maryland and am seriously considering stretching out my time between cuts, then making the 6.5+ hour drive back to Southport for another.
