Venus Nail Spa in Palm Harbor, FL

This salon does wonderful work. My nails are always perfect, the pedicures are amazing, and everyone is friendly and makes you feel like family.

I've been here twice now and was pleased with my gel mani and pedi both times. I just get polished, no design. So I can't speak to fancy nails, just a basic gel mani and pedi. I like how clean and stylish the salon is. I feel very comfortable and very one is friendly. I am picky about the tools being clean, so I was pleased to see they use disposable one use pumice, file, and buffer on my feet. Prices are competitive with the other salons in the area. I will also add the first time I went there my mom was waiting for me. She doesn't normally get her nails done because she is sensitive to chemical and nail primer. My tech Christine offered for her to try out the dip product on a nail for free to see if she liked it. She had both thumbs done just to make sure she liked it. My mom loved it and went back a few days later to have a dip manicure done. I was impressed with the care and attentiveness of Christine.

I stumbled upon this place last week when I needed a last minute gel manicure. They were able to take me right away and did a great job. Fast forward to today when my daughter, our friends, and I came in for pedicures for experience 2 and, again, were happily surprised. This place is now named Venus Nail Spa and it is far from anything the 1 star reviews were saying. I think it's largely in part to the new owner-she is a gem. I asked about her while I was having my nails done and it turns out she took over about a year ago and completely redecorated and renamed the place. We had a group of 4 and all of us now have beautiful nails after a great pedicure filled with pleasant conversation. Everyone is super friendly, they had an amazing amount of color options, and the place is nicely decorated and clean.

I cannot believe that in desperate attempts to get a nail fixed before my cruise, I chose to visit a terribly reviewed place, but I am SO GLAD I did! First of all, this place is in new ownership and no longer called Maxim. VENUS is it's new name. The owner Christina is a total doll! The reviews were all targeted at the old owner who sounds awful! Christina did a beautiful job on my nails, and her other nail tech did a beautiful job on my girlfriend. I think it would be a Yelp injustice to not write this review and let others know that this little gem is worth the visit

A dremel was used to remove gel nail polish and my nails are now weak and paper thin. In less than one week, three of my nails cracked and my new manicure was ruined. I will say that the employees are quick and accommodating but the now poor condition of my nails offsets the efficiency.
