Velvet Studio in Bozeman, MT

I am visiting family in Bozeman and decided it was finally safe to go to a salon for a desperately needed haircut. My relatives highly recommended Velvet, saying it was a fairly new upscale salon with a talented staff. I was lucky to get an appointment since I heard they are generally booked in advance. Luckily, I was able  to see Jenn Sarchet! My hair needed a reshaping of long layers. I live in Florida so I wanted an "easy to dry at the beach" cut.  I was so so so happy with the results of Jenn's work! She explained her technique in detail and how this cut would help with my desire to air dry my hair with ease and why it would result in little frizz. Along with her knowledge, she took photos of the end result and gave me buzz words to pass on to my next hairstylist in Florida. Above and beyond! To top it off, we had such a wonderful conversation about where we were from, why we lived where we do now etc.. She is a very sweet person. My only wish is that I could send my head back to her in 6 weeks to do it all again! Thanks, Jenn!

I love Jackie with my heart and soul. She turned me from vanilla ice cream into a whole ass banana split. My hair is the best it's ever been. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love velvet!

I'm not going to lie, this place is pretty booshie, but you will not find a better cut anywhere. Holly absolutely nailed every aspect of this place. It's bright, beautiful and has good energy. With that said, I'd follow Holly to a phone booth. Holly is next level--nobody hooks up a cut like her and she's assembling a dream-team to take her studio to the next level. The fact is, anyone looking for a top-shelf studio you'd expect to find in a major city, need not look any further, but that's not why I'm writing this review, or why I go see Holly. There's something to be said about supporting good people, doing good work, creating good vibes, all the while, mastering their craft, the great ones that take pride in their work and the service they provide. That's Holly to the T. This is the culture that she inspires. Oh, and unlike other places not to be mentioned here in BZN, Holly has the time thing dialed in. But beware, if you can get in, you'll never let another put a pair of scissors to your hair again.

Velvet is the place to go for a haircut and a different perspective on you being important. The staff is relaxed and they take their time with each person no matter the time of day. The facility is truly magnificent with plenty of places for kiddos to nook away on pillows. There are beverages and very comfortable arrangements in the waiting area. I go to this salon once a month and it is truly a highlight in my month. The plants are phenomenal as well! My haircut is an easy one to mess up, but with velvet I no longer worry!

The studio is full of natural light and faces the beautiful view of the Bridger mountains. It has the perfect amount of little creative detail to make the space inviting.
