Tysons Nail Lounge in McLean, VA

Even after my asking her to be more careful, the tech kept scrubbing the tops of my feet (when doing callous treatment) with something resembling a copper wire mesh thing...left LOTS of cuts on the tops of my feet that quickly got infected. Really painful. Open wounds for weeks that would not heal well b/c in winter, you have to wear shoes! When I got back to town and asked them to make it right, they gave me an argument and kept saying "our products are safe..." or something like that. NOT going back there. Not a good way to handle a legitimately injured customer. Also annoying was the fact that I asked specifically for round nails, and she made them straight as a ruler, which I had to fix at home. Super annoying for a nail salon in a swell shopping complex.

While I understand that shop closes at 7 I showed up at 6 for a pedicure, the water was ice cold and pedicure was rushed through and the tech was extremely rough and I was promptly kicked out the door at 6:50.

They were super flexible and got me in for a same-day appointment for 2 pedicures and a full acrylic set!! The spa pedicure for my husband and I was great (he loved the gentleman's sport pedicure) The space was very clean and had a great view of the street below. My nails turned out exactly how I requested them, and they were very accommodating. Parking was easy and they can validate your tickets!!

I took my review back because my mom spoke with Emily and I just couldn't find it in me to leave a review based off of someone else's mistake. Emily offered to redo our nails herself and we truly appreciate it.

Do not get your nails done here, specially with Happy! I had to get my nails done and my usual place was booked so I decided to try this salon. I asked for a simple gel manicure, nothing complicated. Happy rushed through the whole thing even though I had an appointment and the place was empty. She was deeply unprofessional, constantly stopping on my nails to talk to the nail technician next to her. After aggressively doing my cuticles (in which I had to tell her she had missed certain fingers because she was distracted talking to the other nail technician), buffing and filing my nails she started putting on the gel top coat!! I told her she had forgotten that I had to wash my hands and the residue of the nail failing would make the polish look bumpy. She continued and said it would be okay. She painted the nails in a rush with no attention to detail, getting polish all over her hands. The result was a sloppy, mediocre looking manicure that I need to get removed and done again. Also their website lists that a cell manicure with take off is $45, I was charged $51. Happy did put on a badly done short extension on one of my nails because it had chipped, but she said she'd give me a discount given the bumpiness in my manicure and the overall look. I don't think that was reflected on the pricing. In addition, the nail technician also made comments that left me feeling uncomfortable, at one point she asked if I had a boyfriend and if he looked like me or if he was American. I didn't know I had to look a specific way to be American? I had high hopes for this salon but it was a complete disappointment
