The Wild Hair Salon in Greensburg, PA

Even though this is a new building, The Wild Hair has been around for a while. I think it says something about a business when they can move into a newly built establishment. You don't have a small, unsatisfied clientele if you're making moves like that (there's the accountant in me). I was a client of Kelly Sekerchak's (FABULOUS!!!!) for at least 15 years. I've followed her from place to place. She's finally settled at The Wild Hair, and I think its a great move for her. The new salon is clean and bright. The hair stations aren't sitting on top of each other. All the other employees I've interacted with have been friendly and accommodating. They even have a k-cup machine for complementary beverage, which they offer customers, without prompt. Unfortunately, I had to move from the area, and had to change salons. However, I will ALWAYS recommend The Wild Hair (especially my girl Kelly S.), and hope to make it back there from time to time just to remember what it feels like to have the most amazing haircut ever!

No question everyone there is very friendly and they make you feel welcome. Unfortunately after a year of visits, my worst salon nightmare happened. I was seeing Maria, the salon owner, for a cut and color. The color was nice, not what I asked for, but it was nice color - nothing to wow about, tho. But the bad part - she was cutting my long layered hair, and COMPLETELY chopped off the entire one side. To the point that the right side of my head looks like a mullet. The total length of my hair is mid-back, but the one side all the way back to my ears is now just below my chin and the long hair doesn't start again until behind my shoulders. I'm floored because I just don't understand how anyone who has been a stylist as long as she has could possibly make a mistake that severe. But the real kick in the teeth was when she told me she "only refunded the cut because I was unhappy not because she thought she messed up." I was so sad - not angry - and the only condolence I got was from the receptionist, who also agreed it was a horrible mistake. None at all from Maria. I think she has other great talents, but I'm writing this review so hopefully I can help prevent this from happening to someone else.
