The Studio O in Long Beach, CA

I really don't understand why it has taken me so long to write a review on The Studio O. This place makes you feel like family every single time you come into the salon. Everyone is always so genuine and wants you to feel your best walking in and walking out. I personally see Nicole and she is absolutely amazing. I never know what I want to do and somehow she always makes my hair look fantastic. If there's ever a time where we can't decide what to do, other stylists will come over and give opinions on how to move forward. The owner Oscar is amazing as well. He will always be straightforward with his clients and his staff which I appreciate. If you are looking for a new salon, I promise you'll find your perfect match here!

I was away from home (Texas) and for the past 8 or 9 months, Steve was taking care of me - highly recommended. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted and welcomed in by everyone. The service is great and they're pet friendly, which I LOVED! Everyone is so loving towards the fur babies there. Can't wait to be back in LB so I can book my appt.

The work was very pretty, however, the service was surprisingly poor. I had to wait 20 minutes in the building only to find out the woman cutting my hair was actually just standing and helping one of her peers with their clients hair. I appreciate the team work that is brought to the hair experience here, but I also don't think it necessary to have me wait that long? I was offered water and she said she'd remember to get it for me... 3 times? I didn't get the water until almost 1 1/2 -2 hours into my appointment. She kept dropping her tools, and didn't seem very interested in engaging in conversation with me. She was, however, very conversational with her fellow stylist- speaking poorly about their fellow stylist and their clients. I was honestly surprised! It felt unprofessional, and ended up being significantly higher than the price indicated on their website. She also bleached the back of my shirt, which is ruined. I was really hoping to find my new stylist here and feel bummed about my experience. Either way, at least the work was beautiful!

Studio O is a premier 5 star level salon experience. Truly beautiful interior design and high quality in salon furniture design. I truly appreciated how honest Oscar is in explaining why and what would be best for maintaining healthy looking hair for a client. A tour de force salon worth its weight in gold. i recommend Chrissy - calm, precise, and a very good listener. Nicely done, Studio O.

I wanted to keep my long hair long, but I needed a little 'life' thrown back into my tired tresses. Flash forward and my Yelp Angel - Steve from the Studio O appeared! I didn't realize how stressed I was about seeing another new haircutter at a new salon until my head hit the wash bowl and Steve drained all of my anxiety away. It had been nine months since doing anything to my hair. Steve actually listened and he gave me some great advice on how to wash my hair at the roots only and condition on the ends only - I will be giving this a try! All of Steves observations about my hair were the exact reasons I had set out to find a new Salon. I knew he saw my hair as I saw it - so it stands to reason he would be able to use his expertise to turn it around. My hair feels so good after his cut! My Valentine's Day cut was exactly what the doctor ordered. It's hard for me to sit for long, so I didn't get my hair colored today. I did ask Steve what he would do and it sounded terrific, so it looks like a color service is in my future! Everyone at the salon was welcoming and kind. It was very lively and I was offered water and chocolate hearts were on the table to celebrate the day. As I paid my bill, I was told of a 20% off sale on two products and purchased an Oribe Shampoo and Conditioner. I am confident in saying, if you book an appointment here your hair will be in good hands!
