When my daughter registered with financial aid, their printer was not working and they promised to make copies for us that week.They never did. They never turned in her financial papers to FAFSA. When I asked multiple times, I got blown off. I was told the owner will contact me, never did. I was told the financial aid person would contact me after they no longer worked there. They then gave us a bill, not one penny of financial aid applied.They acted like we never sat in their office and filled out the financial aid papers and turned in requested documents. I was told we didn't apply and we are to pay the money in full. They said they will look for the financial aid papers, I believe that was a flat out lie. I immediately contacted a lawyer who had us do a few thing to protect us from this scam that was so familiar to him. According to FAFSA, they were never contacted by the school although the school said they were in touch with them to find our financial aid papers.They didn't even try to look. It apparently is easier to lie and blow us off. Their demand for money got harassing and my daughter took a lot of abuse and ended up completely ignored when she needed help. The attitudes towards her were no where close to professional or caring. The only customers during her entire time there were me and her dad. That's it. She sat there doing nothing while other students got customers. When I had an appointment, I waited no shorter than 30 minutes, She had no customers. There was no reason for me to wait. One time I waited over an hour as not one person chatting at the counter could take time out of their conversation to let my duaghter know I was there for my appointment. It got to the point that I would text here when I was on my way, again when I arrived and I looked for her instead of just sitting down in the waiting area. It didn't seem to phase anyone that we had to go to that extreme for me to be my daughter's only customer the entiere day. The last time I attempted an appointment I was there one time, there were 4 people waiting, only 1 was waiting for a certain student. My daughter was available and able to give the customers what they needed. The customers were made to wait for other students that were already working on people. When I starting asking questions, my daughter became ignored and did not get the proper training or customers. She was shunned and treated like she didn't belong there and wasn't wanted there. This school deserves no money from us or financial aid. After Covid lock downs hit, they stopped harassing us. I'm still trying to clear this up. Now it's 2023 and I'm trying to clear this up and no one will return a phone call or e mail. It's been years of ignoring us. For now I'm sticking to my lawyer's advice. I've done all he said to do to protect us. We will not pay this money as that's what we applied for financial aid for. We are taking action to get the word about this out. Lawyers are expensive and so is beauty school. I don't want anyone else to go through this. It's been 4 years now and their still ignoring us. Apparently no one has looked for our papers nor do they intend to. They choose to blow off and ignore instead. There are plenty of well reviewed schools out there. This one has earned many poor reviews on every review site I found them on. Some are similar experiences to ours. Others are speaking of no hot water, poor condition of the building, students not getting customers and not having the proper supplies. Do your homework on whatever school you choose to attend. I can't say for sure this is a scam however, judging from the actions, or lack of, taken by the school it's looking more and more like one. Our lawyer explained how the scam works. Before talking to the lawyer, I was not thinking this was a scam. If I had a criminal mind, I probably would have figured it out on my own. I'm too trusting and expecting of professionalism. Neither are part of this school's protocol. If you have a child in this school, get a lawyer on retainer...there's a good chance you'll need them!

Honestly I started coming because it's relatively close to home, and they have great prices. They do the job, it does take awhile. But I just get a highlight touch up. And that turns out pretty decent! I have 2c hair and make sure I brush it out before hand though because they don't seem to have a lot of experience with textured hair. Mine tangles soooooo bad. I try to tell them don't brush it in the bowl because they'll drive their selves nuts. I had the older instructor cut curtain bangs once and they were not it I came back and had another instructor fix it and she was very empathetic. I hope I can get my lashes done next, but there hasn't been any students signed up for a few months now so I can never get booked.

If I could give zero I would, I used come here all the time for the past 10years and never had issues. I showed them one picture and it came out noting like I wanted and even when I kept repeating what I wanted. I understand it can't be exactly like the picture but can be similar. Also was told that the students don't know how to cut my textured hair (thick and straight hair) and my reply was, as a hair school Shouldn't they be teaching the students how to cut different types of hair after all we are in 2022 and there is not just one type of hair. My haircut included a blowout which they didn't do. To make things worse the instructor refused to listen and kept saying you need to by a round brush and a blow dryer because the look can't be achieved by a flat iron, which I said I did use the recommend products and still looks nothing like what I wanted. I have been coming here not because of price but instead of service. All I am going to say is I am now looking for a new hair salon.
