I don't usually write reviews but in this case I feel the need to write one. I came to Jennifer for the first time to have my hair highlighted. I showed her a picture of what I was looking to achieve. A picture of light, reddish brown highlights to be placed in my medium brown natural hair color. What I got was brassy yellow orange stripes with white stripes mixed in...absolutely awful! The lighting in the salon isn't full of natural light so when she finished I couldn't really make a correct assessment. When I got out in the natural light with a mirror I was horrified...I looked like a clown! I expressed my displeasure with her via txt, she told me that she doesn't know my hair and offered to make corrections. I feel that she should have not have let me left looking like this and did not trust her to make a correction that would be positive. I instead was able to fix this on my own, but its only temporary until my long hair grows the mess out. It will be a year and I am still dealing with it. I can not be any more displeased and still angry about how awful it is. All the reviews I had read on their website were positive, not one bad one. Why is this....because they delete the ones they don't like. I do NOT recommend going to Moxy, at least not to Jennifer...I think she may still be training.
Jen is the best! A color correction expert, and Goldwell educator, she is a gem in the realm of colorists in the area. Everywhere I go people tell me how amazing my hair looks, regardless of the style or color we have decided on, whether it be natural colors or fashion colors, or long hair or pixies, she's always been down for the challenge of keeping me interesting. I'm super proud to say I've been going to her classy little shop and staff of amazing hairstylists since it opened, and trusting her with my hair since long before!
