The Hair Loft in Englewood, FL

I decided to give The Hair Loft a try about six months ago to see if they had decent stylists at reasonable prices. My first visit was good. Nice cut. $30.00 to which was a great price for a nice cut! Made another appointment that day with Sandy for 4 weeks later. This time my cut was on a Saturday. The music that day 6/17 was totally inappropriate! I don't care to listen to "F" bombs in music while treating myself to have my hair done. I don't care what ppl listen to in their own personal time. Rap is not appropriate for business environment of this nature . This particular day I had the same stylist, same cut and the price had now risen to $40.00. My daughter was planning to bring her kids here until I told her this about loud Rap music so she cancelled the kids and her scheduled appointments. Though this appointment was more stressful than I prefer, (loud Rap is difficult to converse with your stylist) I went ahead and again scheduled an appointment for 4 weeks: simple haircut. I Received my reminder text message from Hair Loft on Thursday of this week that my scheduled appointment was for 11am Saturday (today). Fast forward to Today, I showed up for my scheduled appointment for a hair cut. One of the two stylists working at 11am, was the gal who has cut my hair the lasts couple of times. I was on time for my appointment. The stylist my scheduled appointment was with, had someone with long wet hair sitting in her chair conversing as she ran a comb through that client's long dark hair. I'm honestly perplexed. I double checked the text message notification I had days earlier, indicating I was at the right place, right time, etc,,, The OTHER stylist was the one who changed the station to Rap music during my last visit. Did the stylist I was scheduled with (Sandy), forget about my appointment? Did she accept a walk in? Close to 15 mins later, after not even being acknowledged for stepping foot inside the shop and realized that if I wait I will now miss my scheduled afternoon plans to attend a 2pm wedding. I left and I will never return. What happened to common courtesy? When do walk ins override clients with scheduled appointments? You'll pay more somewhere else but I learned the hard way. I'm going back to where I paid $10.00 more for a hair cut and they treat you with upmost respect. Try Josephine's or Head Hunters. Had great cuts there and stellar service. I'll pay extra to be acknowledged, treated respectfully and know I'm getting a great hair cut somewhere other than here.

My hair is uneven , I have a rat tail in the back . I'm so sad , embarrassed I can't even share the photos

My Daughter went in for a root touch up and highlights.They completely missed it.Her hair is orange looking and the color was missed by a mile.150.00 not pleased at all.

Karena did an exceptionally great job removing dark red color. She's very talented and funny too. Everyone treated me like family. They even served me some delicious cookies and coffee. Highly recommend this place.

Told Melissa I wanted my highlighting blended in and also visible when I pull up my hair. Received no highlights in the back and a big chunk on either side. This is why I do not go to a salon.
