I was a customer for years, but I feel the owner dropped the ball, was rude and unapologetic. Lindsey only cares about her schedule. We will not be supporting this salon anymore. Attitudes matter, and lindsey should adjust hers! I made an appt for my 4 year old to get her long hair cut into a bob for the summer. We made my appt weeks in advance, and got a call THE DAY BEFORE and was told my appt needed to be reschedule due to a "court date".....Right? you just found about your court date??? Sounds like a last minute excuse to me.. You never asked when it would be convenient for me to come back in.. you talked to my husband and gave me an early morning appt on Saturday. I work myself little lady, and my days start at 5am. I did not want to wake up early on my day off for a haircut! This is why I scheduled my appt for a FRIDAY afternoon WEEKS in advance!!! We all have busy schedules, and things we are juggling, life is not just about you and your "court date". Miscommunication between my husband and myself, and I showed up 15 minutes late. I was rudely greeted at the door (the close sign was still up) by Lindsey and was told,"You are 15 minutes late, my next appt will be here in 20 minutes, I can't see you." I reminded her she cancelled my appt with MY HUSBAND, NOT ME... and how do you have 20 minutes until your next appt, but no time to do a child's haircut?? My guess was someone still needed to do her makeup... Seriously! She's been like this for years, will come to work to do her hair and makeup.. that's fine, what ever... but don't tell me you don't have time to fix a mess you created!! If you want to avoid gossip, drama, and the most pretentious salon owner in Lewis County, avoid this place... There must be a reason why there is always "looking for stylist" in her window! High staff turn over doesn't reflect well on an owner... We found an alternative, my 4 year old is rocking a bob, and we won't be back! (I work in the medical field, and my entire day is appointment based... If we drop the ball, then we make it work! No break, short lunch.. we get it done... Not take an additional 20 minutes to stare in the mirror. You are not that important girl! Get over yourself!)
I have had a very disappointing visit at the hair and nail salon Tips -n- Toes Hair Design in Centralia. The lady who did my nails was very rude to me when I did not understand her explanation of how she does her nails. She also did not tell me ahead of time that she only takes cash or check (and told me I had to go to an ATM and take money out.) When i asked her why there was a sign stating that they take Visa and MasterCard she said that some girls have a special card swipe(which i totally understand) I tried to suggest to her that she should tell her new clients that she only takes cash when they book so they don't have to pay money to pull money out of their bank account, she yelled at me and told me to take my money and leave and don't come back. I had also asked her to fix my nail prior to this because the paint wasn't dry, she told me that she wouldn't fix it when she yelled for me to leave. That was the first and last time i will ever step foot in that place again!
