teknicColour Salon in Cranberry Twp, PA

I have not actually been to the salon in a few years but the experience I had when I was last there has left a strong lasting impression and still makes me feel terrible to this day. The owner was giving me highlights when a gentlemen client arrived to be cut by a different stylist. The owner and this client went back-and-forth making jokes where they imitated the speech of a deaf client. Thinking that there was no way she could possibly be doing this in such a public forum I asked her for clarification. She laughed and said that she in this client have this long-standing joke and they always like to talk like that back-and-forth because they find it so funny that the deaf person speaks that way. It made me absolutely sick and I have never forgiven myself for not saying something to her about it. Obviously I would never return.

The owner is extremely rude, unprofessional, and inappropriate. My minor daughter called to get a consult on getting her hair highlighted. The person who answered the phone asked her for her debit card information without explaining to her she would be charged if she did not keep the appointment. (Relocating to Cranberry from NYC, I was looking for a colorist in the area. I personally attempted to get my hair dyed from this vendor, but when I arrived for my consult the owner was unsure how to color my hair due to my texture (I'm a curly girl). She was willing to try and scheduled an appointment for me to return the next day. Needless to say, I did not allow this person to touch my hair.) They charged my daughter for not keeping the appointment. When my daughter called regarding this charge the owner commented to her about not having enough money in her account for them to bill her for $88 a portion of what they were going to charge her. They took whatever she had in her account (she is a minor. I only keep $50 in her account for coffee with friends. Maybe speak with an adult). The owner actually said to my child she didn't even have enough money in her account or she would have taken the $88. Staff did not disclose this to my minor child! When I called to inquire, the owner was EXTREMELY RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND MADE A STATEMENT ABOUT MY ETHNICITY! The owner's behavior surprised me due to my previous experience with Teknic. This experience was very disheartening. Living in Cranberry Township, I have referred many colleagues to Teknic Colour. I will no longer refer anyone to this Teknic Colour. I had to reassure my daughter not all people are like the owner of Teknic Colour. Unfortunately, I understand there are some ignorant people, but my daughter was humiliated by this woman and was not refunded her money. We disputed the charge, but the owner was not forthcoming with what actually occurred. Based on our experience, I do not recommend Teknic Colour. ZERO stars, but I only gave 1 star so I could post.

Owner was super rude and ignorant. I will never come back to this salon in my whole life. Save yourself the trouble and go to the other salons on Cranberry. Her personality is ugly and I would never recommend this place!

Love this salon! It is clean and the service is great. The stylists are always friendly, welcoming, and my color has been on point every time! I highly recommend Teknic Colour for cuts and color!

I hab been going to this saloon for a few months now. Thursday I had appointment was about 15 minutes late I got a call asking if I were coming, I said yes and only about 5 minutes away. The receptionist,Gail went and asked Jill, the stylist if that was okay, I was told they wouldn't be able to provide the service.. This saloon charges just has much as the Phillip Pelsui saloon where I had gone in the past. I never had a saloon turn people away because they were running late. This stylist and saloon must have a lot of clients to not accommodate people . I have paid $130-160 every time I've gone there as much as what I have been charged by the more notable saloons in the Pittsburgh area
