T J Nails in High Point, NC

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I walked in with no appointment and asked how long till I could have a pedicure. Not long less than 10 minutes is what they told me. I desperately needed one so I waited the 30 minutes that were supposed to be 10 minutes and then they sit you in one of the pedicure chairs in the water for another long period of time so that you don't walk out because you're sick of waiting. I watched the lady next to me giving a pedicure and when she finished I was watching her clean the pedicure tub. She cleaned it with the toenail scrubber brush they use. She cleaned the tub and in the drain Etc. I was paying attention because it was an odd thing to use to clean the tub as they use these on your feet as well. Just as she was finishing a previous customer walked in complaining that her nails were just done 2 days ago and they were lifting. I was distracted by this conversation as the owners argued with her that it was not 2 days ago it was a week ago and she insisted it was 2 days ago and they went on and on and it was ridiculous. Just fix her nails is what I'm sure most of us customers were thinking.  So I missed where my girl put this scrubber. Whether she put it back in with the tools that she was going to use on her next client or put it somewhere else. She started my pedicure and then went to use this scrubber on my foot. She did one foot and started the other and I said is this the same scrubber you just used to clean this other pedicure tub? She said yes. I said do not use that on me! That is absolutely unsanitary and disgusting! She says you don't want me to use it on you? I said absolutely not you just used a cleaning agent and cleaned a disgusting drain and tub with it and now you're putting it on my feet. She says it's okay. I said no I don't want it. I should have walked out then. My skin started to burn and I imagine it was the result of having the cleaning agent still on the brush when she used it on my skin. I told her my skin was starting to burn. They all started speaking in their language and the owner came over to me and I told her what happened. This was the wife owner and she said no that's not the same brush. (Of course she said that) I said she just told me it is the same brush. The girl doing my pedicure then says yes it is. The owner says no it's not. She doesn't understand English. She just moved here she doesn't understand. First of all in my opinion if you can't communicate in English you shouldn't be performing a service on someone where communication is important. If she just moved here I'm even wondering if she was licensed because I'm sure it takes some time to get a license. Not just move here and go to work in a nail salon. The owner says to me I have lots of those brushes in the same color so that's a different one. I said you got to be kidding me. She just told me and you that it's the same brush she used and you're sitting here telling me it isn't when you weren't even here when the whole thing occurred. I was so disgusted by the whole experience. Do not go to this salon! They are not sanitary and with all the things we've been reading about people having issues after getting pedicures...... Do not take your chances at this place!

My wife and I go to see Henry and Kelly for years. Service could not be better from both of them. Highly recommended.

Kelly took her time, I had a nice pedicure and she paid attention to getting the polish on just right. I'd come again! Price very reasonable.
