T J Nails in Charleston, SC

I went here as I couldn't get a last minute appointment anywhere else. The whole process felt off and when I asked a question about what was being done I received a sassy response. I will say tho it was the longest lasting dip I have ever had (6weeks- yes it was very grown out by then but still looked just as new and had not broken or chipped) so in the end it worked out but not sure I would recommend.

Service performance is very inconsistent. I usually have a Manicure and/or pedicure, just the basics. I have had both good experiences and poor experiences. I've been there about five times. I originally went because the prices seemed a little lower than everyone else. But they recently raised them . There are two women I recommend; one is Nora unfortunately I don't remember the other woman's name. She is a Veteran manicurist as is Nora. The owner can be very distracted while working and many times when I've had an appointment I've had to wait 15 to 20 minutes after my scheduled time. I will Give this salon one or two more tries but will only ask for one of the two women. Everyone else I cannot rely on. My friend came with me and she had an even worse experience this time. It was her first and will never go back. The mail who did her manicure was not very interested in her doing her nails so did a very average job. Another friend came with as well she had pedicure. The woman who did her service was very upset about something and actually ignored her questions.

I called in advance and the man (who turned out to be the owner) said they could take me as soon as I could get there. So to start off with I waited 45 minutes, even though I had another appointment to get to. So the owner ended up doing my nails. He did find with the fill in, even though he ended up telling me over and over again to not move, being somewhat rude. Though, he kept cutting my cuticles and laughing after doing so. Next, I didn't ask for gel, but he suggested it so I said ok. Next he put on gel without setting the nails and proceeded to put a regular top coat on. After being told my nails were dry, I left. As soon as I got into my car the polish on my nails starting coming off in wet messy chunks. I would not return.

They took the time to fix my nails after having a terrible service at another salon. I got chrome gel polish that looked amazing! A smaller salon that does great work and cares about their services they provide.
