Sydney Nails & Spa in Davenport, IA

When I got my nails done a couple weeks ago they did dip when I didn't ask for it. All I wanted was a sparkle black polish. I hadn't had acrylics done in 15 years so when they were doing the dip I thought they just did it a different way but then the price was more expensive than what was listed. I took my daughter back thinking lesson learned I would make sure to speak up more. So tonight I told them 3 times I wanted the cheapest fill and pointed to the price list. We asked if she could have the polish painted on the top like a French mani, knowing that would cost a little more. I also said again I wanted the basic cheapest fill. The guy kept saying ok. Then charged me $50. When his cheapest fill is listed at $18. I felt like I was taken advantage of. Before they started painting I again told them I wanted the cheaper version and regular polish is fine. It doesn't have to be gel. When I went to pay I asked why it was so much. He explained that the colored French and shaping cost more but told me I need to tell them at beginning I wanted the cheapest one. Which I did 3 times and I explained that and he didn't care. I am never going there again. Your better off going to DQ Nail Bar they are comparable in price and do a way better job with their customers. Or Vosche in Moline. Their fills with gel are $33 or $35 and Sydney is $35 for gel fill, even though at Sydney you ask for basic $19 one they don't listen and do what they want then charge you more.

I do not mind paying the money as long as I know what I'm getting. Adding charges after I specifically said I didn't want something and doing it anyway is not good business. I understand gel costs more but it's the fact he didn't listen to me. He should have told me at beginning when I kept repeating myself what I was wanting would not be the basic one. Not say ok. I will never pay for anything at this place again they do not deserve the business.

Well...spending 4 hrs is pretty unacceptable. I waited 40 mins at the pedicure tub before I got service. she didn't do a vey good job at all. Then my manicure was not very good either I told her to make all my nails one length and that didn't  happen. For being there for 4 hrs it was a horrible experience. I will. ever go back

I really enjoyed their atmosphere, they were all pleasant and cheerful. I went in for a pedicure and there was a few nicks but I was still happy with my results. I even got a little gift from them, so nice of them, they also give out punch cards. I will be going back. Thank you

They're the best! Very beautiful nails and a great selection of polishes . Only bad thing is the pricing seems to be pretty inconsistent I went in assuming a fill would be 25 as it said on the board and I got charged 45 . Ask for Rosa on the manicure and Judy on the pedicure! They'll get you right . DINT FORGET TO GRAB A PUNCH CARD YALL!

Friendly and do great work. I'll definitely being going back again. Doesn't hurt that they are right next to a place to get a drink before or after. Perfect Sunday funday!
