Susy's Hair Salon in West Covina, CA

Im so glad i found this place! I went to Krystal for my haircut a while back n my hair grew soo much so i decided to go back with her. Now she did a SUPER transformation to my hair! I showed her what i wanted and she gave me exactly THAT!! Thank you Krystal!!!

They do a really good job with hair cuts. As far as booking appointments..not so good. I called and asked if anyone would be available for a hair cut at 5:30. I was asked if with anyone specifically. I said no (since this will be my second time going back and I don't know the name of anyone at the salon) I said Anyone will do. The women who answered said okay, come in 5:30. When I walk in everyone was super busy and I was asked who I had an appointment with ? I said well I called and I was booked for 5:30. I said appointment with anyone would do. (I arrived at 5:17 ) Then I was told everyone was busy to take a seat and IF anyone became available at 5:30 they would take me in.....(I had my two little ones with me who were not patient) I left since I figured why wait if there was no guarantee someone will be available for me at 5:30. (Even though I had booked an appointment) I try again today. I explained what happened the day before and then tried to book an appointment at 1:15pm (I had a class to attend and only had about an hr before having to pick up my kids. I am busy as much as they are) The receptionist who answered said not at 1:15 but How about 1:30? ) I asked her "Do you think I'll be out of there at 2? I have to go pick up my kiddos, can't take them with me for a hair cut since they aren't patient.") She had a slight attitude and said "Well, don't do that you know because what if there's another person in front of you and it takes longer for your appointment .....etc" I was like Okay then never mind. I can't sit and wait since I have things to do and my time is is also limited. Thanks, bye" So what's the meaning of making an appointment? It sounds like even if I make an appointment, that doesn't mean they'll see me at the appointment time and also means I may have to spend an hour there since I was told if my appointment was at 1:30 they could not guarantee I'd be done at 2pm. Great skills they have in what they do, but customer service and booking appointments is a mess. Maybe because I'm new, maybe they don't need my business and That's okay. I'll find someplace else.

If you make an appointment, do not think that you have priority over walk-ins. You may have a appointment at 10am, but they will take a walk-in 15 minutes before your appointment and have YOU wait.This salon accepts any and every walk in client WHILE doing ur hair, so theres not really 1 on 1 interactions its 1 on 3 at the SAME time. So if you were thinking YOUR appointment gets JUST your stylists attention, it doesn't. Another thing you may want to know is if you go in for a bleach or anything of the sort, be aware that it is a 65% chance that your hair will come out somewhat of what you wanted or completely different. I've had my fairshare of trys with this salon but i wont be coming back. Im very upset with the unprofessionalism of this salon.

been getting my hair done with letty since i was a kid, she had never let me down she is amazing.

Lety did an amazing job! My hair was dark, I wanted to go lighter! She was very nice, professional, experienced, attentive and knowledgeable about this. She did exactly what I wanted!! I'm beyond happy to see this change!! Thank you Lety!
