SUGAR NAILS SPA in Queen Creek, AZ

I am very disappointed in this nail salon. I took my daughter here to get her nails done and the nail tech who did her nails reeked of cigarettes and it was not a clean environment at all. Her nails look like press on nails and for the price I paid he did a terrible job. Save your money and go to Pinky's nail salon.

I went in to get my nails fixed because another salon butchered my nails. They were able to help me right away and fix my nails. Thank you Sugar Nails and Spa!

I was a walk-in around 4:00p. There was no waiting, which started out to be great. I got a gentleman that came over quickly and started my pedi. I know every tech has their own method of the sequence in which they do their service , which is fine, as long as they do the whole treatment. Beware, when you see in any salon. that takes their tools out of a blue sterile bag, that does not mean they have been serialized. Those bags are intended to be used in a autoclave system and if they have been autoclaved the bag will have burned stripes on the bags. Not saying they did not sterilize their instruments with a blue light and barabacide, but please let me continue. He pulled his instruments out of a already opened bag, which I found odd. When he pulled out his file, it was dirty looking, which made me wonder if he was getting new tools for each client. I have had pedi's for years and his cart was so disorganized and not very clean looking. As he proceeded to use his cuticle cutters, I could tell he was not doing a very good job. He started my polish while he was doing the mask, which I think he used the lotion as my mask, it was a weird consistency for a mask, then did another slather which I think was the mask. The clincher was the polish job..... I picked a white polish with a sparkle. When he put the clear on to begin with, he placed the light over my toes, he hit my polish on my big toe and I was trying to tell him, he just kept saying no, its ok..... It was not ok, now the polish that got hit made the first coat of color ruff. He polished with the white and got it all over my toes and top of my foot. It was a gel and once you put it under the light it sets the polish, no matter where on the skin it is. It was the worst nail polish job I have ever had. I could have done that much on my own. He then felt by using the cuticle clippers on the polish he got on my cuticles and now set with the light on my toe, it would be ok. I finally had to tell him to stop. Cuticle clippers are for your cuticles before the polish, not to clip away the polish that is now adhered to my skin. I told them I did not like the polish job and a girl came over and said she would redo the polish, which meant, she had to file and soak off what he just put on. I was a bit distraught to say the least. Never did they ask if I had time for them to start over, so I had to just go with it, to get out of their. I personally don't think they are using clean instruments for each client. The girl I had was very nice and I could tell she had to start over, as she could see the file job was bad and my cuticles looked horrible. I left around 6:15pm. FYI..... I went to another shop here in QC and decided to make an appointment. What I learned and watched in both of these shops. was this, If you walk-in, you get their next available tech. If you make an appointment you are going to have to wait until that person gets done with current client and you will not be able to soak your feet while you wait. I to thought making an appt. was better and its not. I guess I am going to have to go outside of QC to find a shop who does good pedi's. They used to be relaxing, but it has been the complete opposite and then you have to pay for it. With what I went through, this service should have been comped, but that was never offered. I guess they know, someone else is going to walk-in.... Very sad way to do business. Just saying

Per my earlier negative review I forgot to mention something very important!!! This salon is NOT clean. Most important they re-use the same files and other tools from previous customers. Not sanitary at all. Please BEWARE for your own health and safety. To the owners... SHAME ON YOU!!!

KATHY & CHARLIE- best nails by them both! I came here after needing to find a new salon after going to the same place for 3 years. Going anywhere new is a gamble but the pictures looked amazing & I needed a change. I was not disappointed. I'm super picky & usually have to adjust my nails after every appointment but not here! With Kathy & Charlie you can't go wrong. This is definitely my new place. Thank you for doing them correctly!
