Haven't been getting my nails done in awhile, but decided to get a manicure and went to Tony's. I was SHOCKED at how much it had changed! Don't know if management changes or what but it's gone downhill. It's very dirty, the nail colors are at least three years old if not more, I didn't recognize anyone there. My manicure was rushed, sloppy, full of air bubbles, and overall very disappointing. I do hope that the managers can read the reviews on Yelp, that way they can see just how disappointed a lot of clients are at the state of the salon. Appears as if no one who works there now takes any pride in their work, or the condition of the salon overall.
What in the hell happened to this place? It used to be a friendly little shop where they knew my name and the staff and customers would talk and laugh. Every time I have been in here since they changed owners there are different people each time. No familiar faces. Yesterday I had the worst experience there. I won't go back again. The girl would not let me pick out the gel color I wanted. I ended up with something I didn't want but by that point I just wanted out of there. There are more men than women nail techs. Most of them were rude. One told me my broken leg was not normal. WTF? The gal ran the grinder into my big toe twice I am bummed that I have to find a new place to go now. I have been a customer for close to four years !!!! The whole vibe of the place changed.
Worst nail job ever! My daughter went to get her nails done for homecoming. She asked for a full set, rounded with ombré polish. Everyone working was so rude! They would not listen to what she wanted. She ended up with short, pointy nails that are half black and half white. We will never be back and will be sure to write reviews everywhere we can.
I went for a mani/pedi. A man did my nails. The pedicure was fine, but the manicure was messy and every nail has little bubbles so it's not smooth. I could have done a better job myself. I do find the endless talk across the salon in Vietnamese annoying, but that seems to be standard if you are not paying top dollar. However, this gentleman constantly sniffed and did some major throat clearing. Revolting! I would never recommend this place. I did go back right away and another gentleman did a good job of re-doing them.
My daughter-in-law and I went in for the first time on a busy Saturday. I called to make sure they had room for us. When we walked in we were both greeted very warmly and only waited a few minutes. The girl that did my nail was really nice until she did my pedi....that's when the sweetness stopped....she was removing the calluses on my feet (which was bad, I just went through radiation and was to sick to keep up on my nails) she started to laugh about how bad my feet were and then decided to motion for the other techs to look. I was so humiliated I almost ran out crying..I sat in the chair and apologized over and over about my feet all while they talked trash about me in vietnamese. I spent over $135 to be humilitated....it's to bad because she did a good job. I kept my decorum and even gave her a decent tip, but will never go back.
There's no denying that balayage is having a moment. This modern hair coloring technique has taken the beauty world by storm, and it's easy to see why. Balayage is a French word meaning "to sweep" or "to paint", and that's exactly what the colorist does.
