What a wonderful surprise it was when I just tried this salon for a first time. Paz was one of the most personable hair stylists I've had in the year that I've lived here. She was confident and skilled. I had a cut/color and highlights done, and this sweet lady knows what she's doing! I think I've found my salon home.
Usually I'm really scared going to get my hair cut because nobody ever listens to what I want done and they usually do their own thing and I leave disappointed. Not today though! Maria was the best! She was so nice and listened to everything that I wanted! I've never left the hair salon so happy in my life!!
Ive been in search of a salon nearby from where I live with reasonable $$. DONT LET THIS FOOL YOU. Not a difference in $$ for a regular haircut than other salons in little italy or north park. The woman cutting my hair seemed new to cutting hair. In general the place looks very tacky. Their products for sale, as well as shelves & installed hair drying chairs are FULL of dust. Loose cut hair everywhere on the floors. Mirrors are dirty. The place is tiny and everything is cramped in there- hair stations and nail (mani and pedi) station and the front desk. Just a mess. Very disappointing. Asked for a trim to cut my split ends, one length and didnt want layers. Woman asked if I wished to get my hair blown dry & I replied with yes. She finished & my hair didn't even look like it was professionally done- expected from a salon. Charged me $50 for a job that was a waste. Got home & my hair was filled with MORE split ends than before. Called them right away to let them know about my split ends & they scheduled me to come back but NOT worth it when they don't know what they're doing & coming from a dirty salon. They had decent reviews & I am so confused on why people even go here to get their haircuts. I'm not a karen, I just keep it real for people like me who wished to have had a realistic review.
I had a very lovely experience at Studio MG Salon this morning. A very welcoming clean and professional environment. Vivian, a most delightful manicurist/pedicurist, treated me to very energizing and deliciously soothing foot and leg massage in addition to a pedicure. Her joy in life seemed to flow so naturally through her strong hands into my feet and legs. I literally floated out the salon with newfound energy in my step.
