Star Nails in Upper Marlboro, MD

I should have looked at the reviews before I walked into this place. All I needed was a very simple pedicure. A very nice young lady started and things were going fine but then they had this older male come over to finish. He had no idea what he was doing. He hurt me with the automatic nail file, had an attitude the entire time, had no idea how to use the instruments or the materials properly. But the final straw was when he took something from my toe and flicked it on my leg on purpose and said see I know what I'm doing. I should have slapped him, but I just walked out instead because I'm not a violent person. This place needs to shut down.

This place is horrible. I went in on Sunday morning when they opened up because I knew it wouldn't be crowded. I go in I'm greeted by Donna. She starts in my hands first and I'm like ok this isn't bad. The worst part was getting my pedicure. I put my feet in the bowl and had to take them out due to boiling hot water. Why is this a thing? You don't have to cook my feet in order for them to soften. I told her it was too hot. I put my feet back and I froze. To go from one extreme to the next is crazy, but ok. She finally got the water right. I noticed there was pain as I got my pedicure. I said ouch can you stop about 3 times. I later saw that I was bleeding and was told I was bleeding because I had too much skin. I get a pedicure every 2-3 weeks and have never been told that and have never bled. I would not recommend this place even in dire need.

i went in today to get mine, my cousins, and my moms nails done and let's just say we all had a terrible experience. To start we were told it would be a 30 minute wait which we were okay with bc there was only 3 workers. so we went back to the car and waited for the 30 minutes and when we got in there no one acknowledged us for and hour and 30 minutes more. finally we got our nails done and they are horrible. none of my nails lengths match, my cousins nails are the wrong length and they are lumpy, and my moms barley were filed so hers were lumpy and most of her nails aren't the same length. not to mention hours later my nails hurt, it hurts to touch them so idk what that's ab. but yeah i definitely don't recommend this place to anyone ever.

HORRIBLE service, this is my second time. I thought the first time it wasn't good because it was near closing time. Nothing changed, they have horrible service, old polish to chose from. NEVER COMING BACK!!!

Do not, I repeat DO NOT get your eyebrows done here. I'm not even going to draw this review out. The service has fallen way off and now I have to spend the next couple of months filling in my eyebrows until they grow back.
