Star Nails in Topsham, ME

A year ago I went to this place and it was fantastic--friendly service, reasonable prices, and excellent pedicures. Today I went with a friend and they technicians talked on the phone via airpods the entire time, did a messy job, and then charged us $49 apiece! I get charged less than this in Boston for an actual "spa" pedicure. Never again.

I went for a 12 o'clock appointment, was stuck there until 1:45. The lady doing my nails didn't do what I asked AT ALL, I showed her a picture several times. She couldn't even do a simple french tip, covering half my nails. She then messed up the very first nail design, so I gave up on my original plan and hoped it'd turn out okay. I have at least one cut on each of my fingers, she filed over it several times and caused my fingers to bleed multiple times. They are very obviously badly done, the day after and my nail beds are flushed red and i'm in pain. I didn't get any addons, but my price was somehow the same as my friend who got multiple jewels. They don't know how to use their own machine, they took my money and kept swiping my card which added extra charges. Then tried to tell me I still needed to give them money. Never go here.

I came in with my cousin for a mani/pedi. My cousin had a great time except for when the lady doing her nails didn't ask what shape she wanted and just gave her square. Not a big deal. We got the exact same process and stared about 5 mins apart. I finished an hour after hear. The guy doing my nail sighed every time I told him what I wanted. Be it color, shape or tips. After my tips were on I asked for dip. I didn't know he needed to know that first, but instead of explaining and just having me pick a normal color he started shouting at me, like the whole salon turned to look. I eventually said through his screaming that it was okay and I'd do a normal color. He still yelled and started opening the dip. His coworker (who had done my cousin) had to help me and finally I got my nails painted. He then said they were done. I looked down and they were a complete different shape than I requested, and a bunch were crooked. I left and when I reached the car I started to cry. I only get my nails done once or twice a year, but this was my regular nail place but I'm never going back.

Not worth $45. The fellow who did my pedicure had no personality or anything to say. He was quick but did a suboptimal job. Sorry to have to say that but I will not go back there.

My nails looked horrible. I usually get my nails done with the woman but the guy who did my nails was absolutely terrible. Look at my pointer finger he Literally put it on crooked. I asked for them longer and he cut them so short and when I said something about it he said they had to be short so they didn't fall off. My nail is literally crooked and they're not the length that I asked for. Never coming back
