Star Nails in Clarkston, MI

I recommend this salon. First time there. The nail salon stations were very clean and uncluttered. This tops most salons I've been to. My manicure looks fabulous.

Overall great nail salon. Sometimes there is a long wait even if you schedule an appointment. Would recommend going during the weekday. See Dan or Amy.

Never... the wife of the owner is extremely rude and when she worked at Paradise by Kroger on Sashabaw she was rude and bossy there as well. I went to this salon 1x as I did not know she worked there, SO rude and down right mean, bully type. She had a young man do my nails in the beginning and then she snapped at him in their language to move or leave, and with his shy behavior, with head down, he said nothing and got up and left. She, owners wife, sat down and proceeded with the electric file, burning my fingers and made one bleed, hurt very much, but she seemed Not fazed. I asked her to stop and use a non electric file and she refused and said rudely "you want nails done or not?!!!" I did let her finish reluctantly and Knew I would not ever come back. That place was closer to my home and I was in a time pinch but, I regret it and would rather drive a further distance to the reg place. I could say more about that woman such as at Paradise she purposely tried to humiliate me several times. Once, for example, someone left their dog in a hot car and she yells across the business and points at me that it is my dog! No it was not! She never apologized. There is more like the time I got a bad toe infection from a bad pedicure and told the owner about it and she came to look and said you got infection. I said yes and had to take antibiotics and pay a dr visit. She said Oh well it happens. No apology or sympathy. I never dealt with her again, always someone else at Paradise and was relieved when she left. Sad she chooses to behave this way.

Been coming here for month now and I love it! The salon is remodeled and very clean! I'm very particular about salons who follow guidelines to sanitizing equipment and keeping areas clean and this place is very good at it. Amy is my favorite, she can replicate designs very well...her gel and dip powder application is flawless. Everyone there is good at helping you decide on colors or designs. Super friendly techs.

Got my nails done today by Amy. I showed her a pic from Pinterest that I wanted to get on my nails. She did a fantastic job. I will keep coming back.
