Sport Clips Haircuts of Sumter in Sumter, SC

I arrived and was the first person on the list. Used the automated system to sign up for my turn and waited about 15 minutes to be taken care of.  The automated system for some reason was not working accordingly but they still placed me first. The lady who cut my hair was super friendly and professional.  My haircut was the way I wanted it and I received the MVP upgrade on the house;score. They also offer military discount so that is a plus. Overall, great service, great staff, and the place is neat. You get to watch sports while you wait.

I have been taking my sons to this location for nearly 2 years now. I cannot recommend it enough!!! They always get a phenomenal haircut and have a great time going. Brandi does an amazing job on their hair and we adore her!!! It's a warm, family-oriented atmosphere and we are always treated extremely well. I'm grateful to the staff for always being helpful and kind to us. And my boys always look squared away after they get their hair cut here!!! Thanks Sports Clips!!!

Edit from 1-3 stars due to the manager actually reaching out and caring. Hopefully my experience was a one off.

Highlights:
-Didn't use the shaver on my neck even after requesting it twice
-Did't ask about shampoo types just used the one she liked and complained about the one I typically ask for
-Didn't recline my chair(not a big deal, just have never had that happen)
-Turned the vibration off because she didn't like it
-Used basically a cold towel because the hot ones hurt her hands (it was actually cold on my face before it was removed)
-didn't even offer conditioner and a second towel(has been standard at every other location)
-asked if I would put my own product in my hair because she doesn't like it touching her hand
-after pumping it in my hand and I styled my own hair she proceeded to comb my hair like I loyd from dumb and dumber so I had to do it again while running away from this situation
-absolutely zero first time discount

Some of these sound petty, but these are reasons I continue to pay $28+ for a haircut here.

I am an avid sport clips customer that stopped here while in town for business. This was hands down the worst experience I have ever received from a sports clips and that includes the time I got my ear cut with the scissors. It may have just been my stylist, but the whole experience was awkward and I felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there.

I will be traveling the hour to Columbia next month.

This place is terrible. I've been here three times and I've been disappointed three times by two separate "stylists". I keep coming for the convenience of being in Sumter, but it's not convenient when you have to drive to another barbershop to fix your hair. You're better off going to Columbia if haircuts are important to you. What a waste.

Took my son here to get a haircut and everyone was so amazing! We didn't have a wait but the staff was still professional in treating us right as we walked in. My son wanted a Mohawk and the stylist made sure to talk to him along the way and feel the tools before using them. (He is 6) She was extremely professional and put him at ease. I would definitely recommend this place!
