SPA #1 NAILS in Prince Frederick, MD

DO NOT GO HERE! Very rude staff. Laughed at my special needs daughter and totally scammed her on the price of her gel nail fill. Gave her one price. Then charged her a much higher price. Very poor job on the nails. I think this place used to be good but truly is not anymore!

I really hate to leave such a negative review, but after a handful of bad experiences I feel the need to warn others about this place. Let's start off with no matter what they say when you ask how long the wait is, always expect to wait at minimum 15-20 mins. They might sit you in a chair right away, but that's just to convince you to stay. I truly don't mind waiting, but when I specifically ask how long the wait is because I'm on a schedule, I would expect for them to give an honest timeframe. It's obvious to me now that they will say anything in order to avoid losing business. The quality of the finished product is hit or miss. I've only ever received pedicures at this location, so that's all I can speak to. Sometimes I get someone who is very polite, thorough and seems to genuinely care about the customer getting what they asked for. Other times, like my most recent experience, you get someone who treats you like a nuisance and completely rushes through your pedicure. The pedicure I received today was just flat out bad. It was so rushed - she forgot to file every toenail on my left foot, leaving the nails jagged and uneven. The gel polish is very sloppy and does not look professionally done at all. I'm now forced to go home and file them down/try to fix the nail polish. Overall, I'm pretty irritated I just paid $50 for this and now have to make time to try to fix it before I go out of town tomorrow. Yes, I'm aware this is a very "first world problem," but when you're paying a decent amount for a service to be done just to have to fix it yourself, it's beyond frustrating. Looks like I'll be making the trip to my old salon from now on.

I've been coming here since they opened in 2010 (I think), and they treat me like family. They always strive to make their customers happy, and their cost for services are comparable/competitive to other salons in the area. Also, it's very clean and sanitary. Highly recommend!

Horrible service when I walked in everyone was just sitting around and when the lady started my nails, almost every nail was crooked. I am not paying for crooked nails. When I asked the lady to fix my nails, she began to get an attitude and tell me I could just go somewhere else, so I told her I will. she cut the tips of my nails and tried to leave them on my nails. When asked to soak the nails off, she began to get an attitude. Horrible service never again.

I really love my nail technician and have a great experience here. The prices are a little high and I don't like waiting when I have made an appointment but can deal with these two issues because of the exceptional job done on my nails.
