Solar Nails in Ladson, SC

I have been going to Solar Nails since we moved here! Going on 5 years now. I've never had a bad Pedicure  or nails in all this time. Love that they are a local family .  I really don't understand all the  negative reviews,  I've never left with polish on my skin, I think folks just feel bad and want to drag others down with them.   I say GO GIVE THEM A TRY !!!!

I'm not sure why this place has such low reviews. I came here for acrylics and the male owner did them. Although he's a little sarcastic he's joking around and did a good job. His daughter usually does gel manicures when i go in for them and she does a really great job! She's kind of shy but super friendly if you get her talking! I've been many other places for gel manicures and I always end up coming back here bc she does them so well! It's a bummer it has such low reviews! I've never had a bad experience there!!

Would not recommend this nail salon at all. The owner is very rude. He will rush your nails. I received gel on my nails and it was a mess. I had dried gel on my cuticle and it was not smooth. You tell him how you want it done and he does what he wants to do. He'll never ask you "is this okay" or "is this how you want it". When you get ready to pay for your service, he makes a big deal when you're paying with a card. He'll try to make you pay half cash and half card to wave the "1.50" card fee. It's absolutely ridiculous here. It's a headache here. Go at your own risk.

I would not recommend this place.  Very rude, they DO NOT listen when you tell them how you would like your nails done.  The owner (the man) is so very, very rough. I gave them 3 chances.

For starters it smells like corn chips in there. If I could give a lower rating i absolutely would. I came in today for a fix on one nail. She applied the nail crooked and even one of her coworkers told her that it was crooked. She began to get an attitude with me as she took of half of the nail and applied a new tip right on top of the old stuff she should have taken off. She applied it crooked again and I told her it was fine. After I asked her the name of this salon she asked me was I going to put some SHIT on there. ( referring to a website) I am a customer and feel that under NO circumstances should I ever be spoken to like that from an employee. After she half did my nail and skipped steps I proceed to walk to the paying area and she assumes that I wasn't going to pay and yells at me that it is 5 dollars and I better pay her . Which I had every intention of paying. I've never had to deal with this in any nail salon I've been to. She was telling me if I didn't like the nail to just not come back. This experience was by far my worst ever of getting my nails done. I'll never go there or recommend this place.
