Do not use these type salons! These people have no idea what they are doing.
I had to go to Walmart and figured I would swing in to the SmartStyle salon in the store for a quick bang trim while I was there. Thinking how can you screw up a simple bang trim...right?! Well it happened, and it happened today at the Walmart in Walker, La. The girl's name is Markisha. I don't even know if I am spelling her name right. My bangs were below the bridge of my nose when I went in. I let Markisha know I usually wear them just below my eyebrow dry even though they are pretty long right now, and to not cut them straight across. I wear them kind of rounded. Face framing is a better word. I showed her where to angle them in order to not open up my face at my cheek bones. What does she do.... She did exactly what I asked her not to do! She cut them blunt straight across all the way to the temple! I even had to stop her and say what are you doing that is too short and going to be even shorter when it dries. Why would you do that?! She looked me in the face and said, "I did what you aks me to do". Yes I meant to spell it aks. I said that is a lie and I refuse to pay for this! I walked out and of course did not pay. I have since filed a complaint with corporate and speaking with a lawyer. It is that bad! And to say "it will grow back" is simply offensive. I know I am not the only who has had a bad cut or trim but this needs to stop. These idiots need to be held accountable on a higher level. A gift card or free cut is not the solution by any means. We have to deal with the grow out for months and the frustration of trying to do something with it not to mention the mental anguish and not wanting to be seen like this. These people need to not only lose their job and never work in this profession again but be held accountable and pay restitution. Doing things like to people has to stop. We can no longer just accept it and wait for the grow out!
