SmartStyle Hair Salon Bradenton Hwy 64 in Bradenton, FL

I went to the smart style on 64, in Bradenton. She charged me for a haircut and a shampoo. I just got a simple haircut. Because I didn't have my glasses with me, I assumed they raised the prices of a haircut. Also, the person did not ask me if this ok. she took off way more than I would like. She was the manager, and I thought she should know what she is doing.

Sangria was fantastic. Got me bleach, near-platinum blonde from a reddish dirty blond fade out from prior perm burgundy. She was quick and great! If I lived down here, I would totally go back to her! Clean place, got my apt the same day. Thanks, ladies!

I went in to have my neck line trimmed, and was told I would have to pay $40.00 for a complete haircut, as they didn't have a code to charge for just the trim. Was informed that the shop was under new ownership. Terrible customer service, and extremely overcharging.

I take my boys to walmart to have their hair washed all the time. They are 6 and 3. It's easier to let them have it done professionally. My 3 year was there at 530, by the time started to retwist his dreads (around midnight while he was a sleep)... I noticed a small bug. After digging around in his head I found a few more. I called walmart to make them aware and maybe have them check their towels or whatever. The mgr said he got it from daycare. I said he is home schooled. She said we wont wash their hair if we see they have lice, I said my point exactly. He did not have lice before entering your salon. Now he didsnt have hair anymore either. Never again

I went there today to have a couple highlights done to my hair. I had the worst experience in my life. The hairdresser Monique burned my hair. When I pulled my hair it started to fall apart. She left me sitting for too long, because she was talking to other customers and so I spen extra time with the color. She forgot to wash my hair, and I had to remind her that I had been with the chemicals for a long time past the timer that she had set. She burned me with hot water 2 times when she washed my hair finally. The customer service is horrible. I have never wrote a review in life this is my first time. This is because I'm really pissed off, my hair looks like horrible and pieces are falling out. I have never had hair treatments before and so I didn't expect to have this happen to my hair. They were dismissive and gave me attitude when I complained about my hair. The manager took the side of the employee and would not listen to my side "the customers side." The manger Shannon ignored all my complaining the whole time. She said that everything was looking good. How is that possible, when my hair is falling out? The manager and her staff do not look professional in any way. She was trying to sell me products to fix my hair, but I did not want them. She said that she uses on her hair, but her hair did not look healthy, and if truth be told looks like she let a kid die her hair instead of another hairdresser do it for her. I can not recommend this place to anybody. They are going To try some bad experiments on your hair and leave it damaged then try and make you feel responsible for what they did to it.
