Sit Still Kids - Boise in Meridian, ID

This place was adorable! My husband and I took our 18 month old son for his first haircut. My expectations on getting anything cut was not high. What 18 month sits still?! Well Mekdes was like a fairy god mother or something she had magic coming out of the comb and scissors. I tried so many times and failed at getting a straight cut.  Mekdes had a iPad set up complete with a stand in the cute little toy car. He loved it! He usually mean mugs strangers. Not her, he was like oh hey you have blow dryer can I have that and my own comb, yes! They took a cute picture with my first hair cut and gave us a little keep-sake bag that sealed. I'm so beyond happy with the fact that she was able to get a full hair cut done. She will be cutting his hair for a very long time. Thank you so much to the staff and a million thanks to Mekdes we will be seeing you soon!

The first time I went to the salon was my sons first haircut he is 2.5 yrs old . It was new for him and he was moving around and had a hard time sitting still. The barber was complaining that it was her period, she said things like she couldn't do this (but continued even after I said if you want to stop that's okay) but after about 30 mins we finished and I was so happy with the hair I didn't mind the barbers comments. I payed her and tipped her. I scheduled with them again, figuring as we continued to do it, my son would be better with time. I came for my second apt, I had to wait 10 minute's, and when it was our turn, my son was already doing so much better then last time. The barber was making similar comments and after ten minutes left my son with a un even, barely started haircut. She asked if I wanted to come back I said no. I am thankful that they stayed with it the first time but if my sons behavior was too much I feel like they should have told me so I didn't schedule an additional apt to be left with a bad haircut.

Despite being out of the way for us, I'm so happy I chose Sit Still for my 2.5 year old daughters first hair cut. Kati cut her hair and was so sweet and accommodating to my daughter. She had suggestions for me on how to part her hair and for the cut as well. My girl was so happy and proud to get her cut here -- no tears. The shop is decorated adorably and would make me want to get a haircut here too if I were a kid. Lots of fun gifts, toys, etc on the shelves too so a nice place to stop in if your looking for a kids bday gift. Very happy with our appointment and I'll be back with both my kids in the future.

Took my son here for a haircut. He is 6 years old. My husband took him the first time and I enjoyed the cut so when he asked to go back I was happy to oblige. The staff was very friendly and interacted well with my very talkative child. He loves the car chairs and tablet to watch videos. I will go back again.

This place is fantastic! The staff is friendly and the salon is adorable. Kati did a wonderful job cutting my girls' hair and putting in sparkle strands. She was patient and made sure we liked the final look before finishing. They have a lot of fun goodies for kids too, we enjoyed looking around and shopping. They also do fun family nights for Valentine's Day, dads and daughters, etc. We will definitely be back!
