SHINE SALON & SPA in Canton, OH

I came in to get balayage and was looking forward for a lighter shade of hair. She told me she wasn't sure she could get it as light as I wanted, but i still expected for my hair to get lighter you know, I did go in for balayage. But instead i left the salon with black hair! Jet black hair. With random ashy streaks. My hair was the darkest I have ever had it.And got charged a full $180 dollars for balayage. Also got charge for other stuff totaling 300+, $98 for a haircut + color (jet black) and a treatment that she did not inform me I was getting. I will never go back to this salon again. I had my hopes up. For charging people such a high price, they should really know what they are doing. And if they mess up, I wish they would admit it and try to fix it. Instead of blaming it on other things. I was so confused when it was done because my hair was BLACK!!! And she kept saying it will get lighter and it was just the lighting and then she said it was because my hair was already colored. I have had colored hair before and it got lighter after, and paid $100 for it. This time I went to a higher end salon expecting better results. And what did I get? Black hair! I left telling my daughter I was getting highlights and came home with black hair! she was so confused. I'm the kind of person who just lets things go and accept it. I don't complain. So I didnt and paid, and they even dared ask for a tip and I did. But every person I've told this said I shouldn't have paid. That I got screwed over. It literally ruined my whole week. Save your money and go somewhere else. My take is at least do what you're asked to do and if you didn't do it, admit it and fix it.

I've been going to Mackenzie for about 2yrs now and she always does a fantastic job on my hair! She's very sweet and actually cares. She remembers details of my life and asks me how things are going when I see her. She is going to be doing my hair for my wedding!

Lauren was incredible!!!! She took my dull "blonde" and brought it back to life!! Her interesting approach adding low and highlights somehow made it natural yet pop!? NO idea how she did it but it was magic, for sure. I now have an extra bounce in my step. Go book an appointment with her NOW!

Colbee has been the very best. I have been following her wherever she goes. She always gets my color and cuts superb. Recommend to all. A++++++

Shine is my go-to salon for everything! I get regular massages and always leave feeling great. I've had manicures and pedicures and all the ladies are wonderful. I've had my hair dyed and highlighted and the girls were amazing! I have very sensitive skin and have reacted negatively to dyes in the past and after letting my stylist know, they are careful to keep dye off my skin and give me an extra rinse afterwards. My only non 5 star experience was a haircut. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was with a stylist I hadn't seen before. I asked for a subtle asymmetric bob with a little layering, and left with a straight blunt haircut. I came back a few days later and she "added layers" at no extra cost, but I couldn't really see a difference. Again - not a bad cut, just not what I was looking for. I'll definitely be back for my other regular services!
