This place is terrible! I shopped around town for someone who could put extensions on my short hair. I lost all of it due to chemotherapy. All the salons around town said they couldn't do it until it was longer until I came across Bri at ABLS. She said it would be no problem! You can imagine how happy I was to not have to wear a wig anymore.

The day I went in I told her I had a nightmare about it looking terrible on top. I was afraid my hair was too short to hide the extensions. She said it was fine.

As she finished up I was a bit shocked at what it looked like! She took pictures of the bottom part (basically the part that she ordered). I was very uncomfortable, but thought for sure it would look better at home. I paid...tipped her and left.

On the way home I called my husband and friends pretty upset. My good friend came over and tried to help me cover the tape. I starting frantically inboxing ABLS saying it needed fixed and looked terrible.  Bris said she was off work the next day, but if I wanted to come in and have someone take out one extension I could. I said I would wait for her.

I had to go to work 2 days looking awful. I was so embarrassed. Even my sixth grade students said they could see tape and the front was bad. In the end, I went in and had them taken out. I was not once offered a refund or for them to be put back in when it would look professional. Bri threw all the extensions in a bag. They were stuck together and it took me over an hour to get them apart. I was so upset!

My husband was pretty mad. He inboxed ABLS and told Bri (the owner) she needed to make it right. She refused at this time. The next day we made it public on Facebook.

Please, please do NoT come here. One of my students informed me she had a terrible chop job on her hair by Bri too. She said she bawled and bawled. I had another friend come forward saying she quit going here because Bri was always late and took forever. I should have know when I sat for 30 minutes past the time I was told to be there for a consultation. I never received an apology.

My husband was also told that I was trying to get a free service out of it. I HAD them taken out!!!!

Thanks ABLS for adding to my already terrible year.

*** Update - the salon now has someone in boxing me, basically saying that if my wife was unhappy with her "hair" she shouldn't have paid for it in the first place, and that lots of people ask for refunds just to get something for free. Um... SHE HAD THEM TAKEN OUT. What is she getting for free, other than 4 hours of her life wasted, and 2 days of having to walk around with the hair they placed on her head with scotch tape.

Kristen LaPoint shopped around town for two months trying to find someone that could put in hair extensions. Her hair is only about 3-5 inches long right now (she is recovering from Breast Cancer), and everyone she went to said (no matter the type or style) they couldn't do hair extensions yet. Too short. Queue: ABLS Salon. Bri (The owner) meets with Kristen and says of course she can get her hair extensions! They would be tape-in extensions, no concerns what-so-ever! After the year Kristen has had, finally not having to wear a wig anymore was about the most exciting thing in her life right now. Fast forward to this week. Kristen has her appt with ABLS, comes home, and as gently and sincerely as I can, I say "I love you. But I cannot believe they actually let you walk out of the salon looking like that". Trust me y'all, you should have seen it. It looked like the head of a Cabbage Patch doll that had also been a chew toy for a pet. The hair extensions were $700. The "job" was $200. Kristen even tipped $40. Not something that was financially easy to swallow, but at this point, something that brings Kristen joy and confidence is worth every penny. Kristen calls Bri, tells her she needs something done about her hair. She goes back to ABLS salon, and has all the extensions taken out. Bri does not offer to refund her money, or to even complete the job later in the year when Kristens hair is a little longer. After Kristen leaves, I message ABLS on facebook, and tell Bri how it's pretty messed up that she said she could give Kristen extensions, and how it's even MORE messed up that she even let Kristen leave the salon looking like that! I asked her to consider either refunding the $200 (told her she could keep the $40 tip), or offering to do the job again later, free of charge. Obvioulsy Kristen had been misled by this lady.

Bri from ABLS wrote back and told me that (in a nutshell) hair extensions obviously "aren't for everyone" and that "everyones level of comforth is different" whatever that means. There were a few more exchanges, and eventually Bri said she would no longer respond, and then took down the facebook posts she had made "showcasing" Kristens hair, and then took the entire ABLS facebook page down for a while. It is now back up.

Obviously, at this point, I know we aren't getting a refund, and there's no way Kristen will go back there. When Kristen left last night, she had to spend an hour trying to save the $700 extensions, as Bri had thrown them all in a bag, tangled up and stuck to the tape. What I DO want is for this post to be shared, with the hope that Bri will at least lose 1 current or future customer, which in the level playing field of karma, will recoup the $200 she could have agreed to give us back last night.

I had Miss Olivia as my stylist last night and she did exactly what I asked for! I have gotten so many compliments today, everyone has said how healthy my hair looks, (after getting it bleached and colored even!)
I highly recommend this salon. Both Mackenzie and Olivia are the bees knees!!

Unwilling to help. Has not reached out in any way, even when I have relentlessly tried to get something figured out for my hair. $255 down the drain, sucks to know there are people like this, in a profession that relies on customer satisfaction and does not follow through when they mess up. All they needed to do was make things right, and they made no move to do that. Incredibly disappointing. Not worth the price whatsoever, nor the horrible customer "care" that follows.
