Amazing salon! I get my hair highlighted and cut by Kim. I've had my hair done all over Dallas-Fort Worth and her attention to detail outshines anyone and any salon I've ever been to! She's kind, amazing and extremely hospitable. Great snacks and beautiful decor made my experience even more memorable. Love this place!
I followed my stylist, Kimberly Potts, to this salon after she had done my hair for approximately 20 years at an Aveda salon in Tulsa. Unfortunately, my experience at the new Salon on Harvard was subpar on every level. When I arrived and sat down, another man also arrived and acted like I was in his seat, so they spent the first 10-15 minutes of my appointment figuring out that they hadn't written his appointment down and needed to contact him. I wasn't offered anything to drink, but upon asking, I was given water while I waited. Not only did they allow only two hours and 15 minutes for my foil and haircut appointment when it has never taken under 3 to 3 1/2 hours to do my hair, but she used a blonde that wasn't up to the Aveda standards I expect, along with an ugly lowlight that when mixed with my dark hair, appeared almost olive. The blonde I did receive was not the heavy foil that she did last time, which I can only imagine is because she was cut short on time and my hair was to pay the price. My roots are still highly visible, along with the olive lowlight and the scarce blonde that looks like an afterthought. My appointment was early enough in the day, so I didn't actually know that they hadn't allowed adequate time for me until she repeatedly texted on her apple watch and said she needed to leave at 2 pm to pick up her son. While distracted, frazzled and a bit rude, she quickly cut my hair that I had painstakingly grown out, into an awful mushroom cut in the front and a weird longer length in the back. I tried to ask her about coming back for a blowout on the day of my birthday party into a style I had seen, but she was scowling at me and clearly wanted me to hurry along out of there, so I left and didn't make a future appointment. It's the worst haircut and color I've received from her in two decades, she was unfriendly, and there were other people around the hair wash station complaining while she juggles multiple clients at the same time. If it had been my first experience with her, I never would have gone back, so I messaged her and told her I was unhappy. She offered to make an appointment for me to come back so she could fix it, but I had already driven 45 minutes each way for this fresh hell that wasn't my fault they didn't allow adequate time for in the first place, and I didn't have time in my schedule to go all the way back right away. I really just wanted her to know what had transpired so that she'd be aware of it and we could move forward for next time, but she instead unprofessionally blocked me on social media. Not only did she ruin my hair for my 50th birthday, but I paid $275 for this ponytail with bad roots that I will have to wear until I find a new salon, then she discarded me like garbage. I'd like a full refund, and I will never return to this establishment in its seedy area of Tulsa with its horrid parking lot and a preposition in its name. You have no business charging Aveda prices for a salon that clearly lacks customer service, class and decorum. Good luck. You're going to need it.
