I came to Salon J after my aunts sent me a gift certificate for my birthday. It had been a couple years since I'd had a professional style and many years since I'd had my hair color treated. I received a cut and hair color/ highlights from Julia. It's been about a month now and I still love my hair style!! I've received so many compliments and I'm actually thinking about going lighter. Julia did an amazing job on my hair. She reached out to me a week before my appointment so i could send her pics of cuts and color options of what I'd like done. She hit it right on the money and I highly recommend her as a stylist!
I was in town for a special event and wanted to have my hair styled. I selected Salon J based on yelp reviews and the salon website. So glad I chose this salon! Dexter did a great job with my hair. He styled exactly as I wanted. Salon was modern and in a great location downtown. Even found a super-cute pair of earrings in Jules Boutique (which is a connected retail store) on my way out.
Love, love, love this salon. Fantastic stylists, friendly environment and cutting edge cuts and colors. They do fantastic eyebrows and their updos have been featured in brides and veils magazine. Need product? They have a wide selection! Make-up services available as well as manis and pedis! Full service pampering!
Love, Love, Love......Very professional and friendly stylist. I always feel like I'm visiting my friends and getting my hair styled to boot. I would recommend any of the talented stylist, but my go to guy is; Dexter O'Bryant. He's a genius with hi-lights, cut/styles, and hair extensions. I would recommend Salon J to everyone.
Salon J used to be a place I highly recommended to others. In terms of quality, I give it high marks. Their stylists know their stuff and are attentive to you preferences. However, their poor booking system for loyal customers makes them very unreliable. The last five times, I have had to wait at least 45 minutes for my scheduled appointments (which were made weeks in advance), and despite booking and receiving confirmation online, they did not have me in their system for an appointment the last time I went in.
If they were on time with appointments, I would be happy to continue going. However, the place just isn't reliable and does not see to value their loyal customers. Unless you have a lot of time on your hands and a flexible schedule, try someplace else.
