Salon Influence in Centennial, CO

Melissa cuts and styles my hair exactly the way I like it.  I would highly recommend her.  I've been to her twice and I'll definitely use her talented services again.

I went to Beata for the first time recently and really liked her. She gave my highlighted blonde hair a great color and I'm in love with my cut! There's much more body than before. This is a good location, it plays good music (no super loud club mixes), and they're reasonably priced.

I have been going here for many years and Have seen many different stylist which I usually enjoy. Yesterday I went in and was booked with someone I had never seen before. While she was very nice, my end hair result was hideous. I wanted an ombré and we picked out a natural color for my roots/ main color and then a dark blonde for the ends. I ended up with a bright yellow blonde color with orange undertones in my hair. She also didn't even put the color in evenly, she left out the entire upper sections of my layers on the left side so I have ombre higher up on my right side then my left. I ended up having to box color the ends because I couldn't go to work with the horrible color she put in. When I called to complain to the manager all he said was that I should have told her and there isn't anything he can do about it unless I let her fix it...Why would I ever want to let someone who made my hair look so awful try again? He apologized a few times but ultimately made me feel like this was all my fault. I used to love going there but since the manager essentially blew me off I am never recommending this place to anyone again and definitely won't be going there again.

I have only visited Salon Influence one time (once was enough) and with only one stylist, Valerie, so I cannot speak to the quality of other stylists. Valerie, however, was awful. I had purchased a Groupon for a cut and color service.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and lost my artificially colored blonde hair. My hair grew back in brown so after about six months I decided that it had enough length to go back to blonde. I went to Valerie, explained my situation to her, and even provided a sample of my actual blonde hair, to give her an example of what I was looking for. She first colored my hair without bleach because, according to her she didn't want to damage my hair. Unfortunately she didn't have the products on hand and had to spend ten minutes at a nearby store. After this first coloring process my hair was orange, though Valerie described it as 'strawberry.' She then decided that bleaching my hair would yield the best result. She then put bleach (I'm not sure what volume but I would guess 20 or 30) directly onto my scalp, no warning that it could cause tingling, stinging, or sensitivity. She didn't ask if I had sensitive skin or any possible issues with chemicals. I was placed under the dryer for about 15 minutes with the bleach. When she finally rinsed and dried my hair, I wanted to cry.
It was brassy and yellow and awful. It looked like someone had just poured bleach onto my hair without any rhyme or reason, which is pretty much exactly what happened. It in no way looked like a professional coloring, no dimension or shine whatsoever, just flat yellow. I've never actually seen anyone with this particular color, though my daughter has had her hair bleached to that tone before in order to then dye it a bright, vibrant color afterwards. The yellow straw on top of my head is only suitable for applying color over.
I was so upset with my 'new hair' and after two separate processes at the hands of Valerie, neither of which turned out properly, I was not about to sit in that chair again in hopes that third time's a charm. I immediately contacted a different salon to remedy my situation, which they did as best they could, allowing my some semblance of normalcy.
In short, I would never recommend anyone to Salon Influence because though I only experienced one stylist there, the fact they that are willing to let someone so wholly inadequate represent them tells me that they aren't worth visiting. I think Valerie not only gave my a terrible coloring, one she should be ashamed of and embarrassed to let me out of the salon with, but acted negligent and irresponsibly. I will be warning people to avoid this salon. With so many other options available, no one should settle for shoddy work.

ETA: I will give Salon Influence a bit of credit and additional star for reimbursing my Groupon cost when I brought my displeasure to their attention. I appreciate them trying to remedy the situation with a fair offer.
